Knowing what we know about how racist this country still is, how does Senator Obama get elected? I AM NOT SAYING he won't get elected, I am just wondering what has to happen, given the level of racism that is still prevelant? There is a Newsweek poll today where more and more people are saying they won't vote for him because of his race. Will these folks have a change of heart in six months? Is the media overstanding or understating the level of support for Senator Obama? Will voters compare him to John McCain and decide Senator Obama is the lesser of two evils? (Which usually happens in elections anyway). The electoral map looks pretty well set. Can Senator Obama really turn red states blue? My contention is America wil never elect a ANY minority for President. But Senator Obama has gotten this far. Realistically, what will put him over the edge? Have at it. |

He's gonna need the race man, Hillary Clinton, to deliver the white vote. Isn't that what politicians always do, go to Black leaders (or community leaders) when they need to turn out the ethnic vote? Well, HRC is the new race man this year; and she's gonna turn out the ethnic white vote, keep'n hope alive! |
