Well, you judge for yourself. This seems to be a very frustrated and bitter young black man. Somehow, black women seem to disappoint and frustrate him with their behavior. He has a series of Youtube posts (you can check them out) addressing his frustrations. It appears that he has some kind of blog or website where these skirmishes with black women are acted out. I don't know what the site is. Anyway, you decide......

What has happened to Thumper's Corner? It used to be a lot more posters who commented on topics much quicker than this..where did everybody go?
Anyway, this guy is the typical jerk who probably was rejected by black women so he wants to take his anger out on all of them. I bet if he gets with a White girl he STILL wouldn't even be happy |

Good question. I was looking in some old archives (2005-2006) a week ago and I had a ball laughing at the posts. It was nasty but lively and very entertaining. I was surprised how active it was then and the number of people who engaged one another. I have no idea what it would take to get the forum back to that level. Some major players were the catalyst for activity but unfortunately, they are no longer around. Kinda sad.....

What seems to have happened to Thumper's Corner is that discussions about the same ol issues of racism, sexism, colorism, pop-culture gossip, Rap music, and bad books unsurping good ones, have become subjects that no longer elicit fresh responses. Regulars go on hiatus while lurkers hang around waiting to be entertained, and then they all get impatient because nothing much is discussed except the race between Hillary and Barak, even though they don't respond to the interesting articles that are posted and questions that are posed. IMO. |

Naturally, I disagree with Tonya's observation. I fail to see what a person's age has to do with whether or not they are interested in certain things. Some people retain their youthful curiosity and are young at heart, while others are old and boring before their time. |

Your analysis is probably 100% correct. Actually, I have been thinking along the same lines. As you noted, there were some explosive engagements and skirmishes on this board between various individuals and factions over racism, sexism, colorism, etc.. Although the confrontations were not always "nice" or "politically correct", they were entertaining. I also recall a number of the board monikers that posted here before. I often wonder what happened to them. But as you stated, many people just purse the board, look for topics of interest, read and move on rather than partake. I used to do that for a long time. But one day, I decided to join the fray. I didn't post much for about a year, just a few comments here and there. There were some very dominate and aggressive posters on the board at the time and although I had very strong opposing opinions, I didn't feel comfortable running in the back door and confronting them as a rookie with only 15 or 20 posts....just yet. But you must admit, those were fun times.

You're correct, age has nothing to do with anything. But in her childish mind, she believes (in a sneering arrogance) that if you are older than she is, she somehow has some kind of vexing advantage over you. Ridiculous? Of course. Something I fail to fully understand. She seems to believe that she is a spring fresh innocent 20 year old college sophomore or something. SHE IS NOT! She is a woman past that stage in her 30's! But even so, her being a woman in her 30's means nothing when posting her opinions or subjects of interest on this board. WHICH APPLIES TO EVERYONE ONE ELSE WHO POSTS HERE -YOUR AGE HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH ANYTHING! It would be as if every time she posted something I disagreed with or didn't like, I would comment about the fact that I am taller than she is or that I don't have a flat booty. Duhhhhhhhh...???!!! WTF..?? It has no relevance to anything. So what would be the point? Well, it would only matter if I thought by saying something like that, I could get under your skin. You know how a teenage mentality works. Hint...hint...hint....
I've often times seen nasty remarks about your age Ms. Cynique, something I initially, never understood. But now I do. They do so because they have convinced themselves that they are somehow (I have no idea what led them to this thinking) better or have a superior advantage(?) over you and they are reminding you of it. It's like those white kids in the neighborhood I grew up in. They were cool to play with but they had to occasionally remind me that they were white and for me to not get too comfortable and think that I was equal to them. I was black and I was not equal.....end of subject. That's how they think -"You're older than me! Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! I'm younger and I have an advantage over you. Ya got that??!! Yes, its silly and ridiculous, but what is to be expected of a juvenile mind in the body of an adult?
