Because the folks running the Democratic one are getting on my nerves! I’m sick of them taking me for granted and treating me like the stupid person they THINK I am. When I first heard about them disenfranchising people from their own party in Florida and Michigan, although I didn’t really take the time to figure out what was going on, it just didn’t sound like a good idea to me. I was thinking “how are they not gonna let these folks’ vote count?” “what’s gonna happen when it gets to be convention time and those votes are needed?” “why would Obama fall for these tricks?”. Well, it’s time for my questions to be answered but they ain’t GOT no answers. This is ridiculous and they are gonna lose a lot of folks if Hillary gets the nod because of this shyt. I’m sick of them! Any suggestions? [be nice]

Crystal, you might want to look into registering as an independent. (But I do not think indepedents can vote in state Democratic or Republican primaries/caucuses unless registered. I am not familiar with exactly how many states have "open" pimaries.) As you have seen in this campaign, independent voters are courted and analyzed every which way to Sunday. Of course there are other parties besides Dems and GOP--Libertarian, Reform Party, Green Party, etc. And of course, there are growing numbers of African Americans who are registering as Republicans. |

Yeah Yvettep - I've voted independent at various times in the past. Maybe Green Party Cynthia McKinney will be my choice. But most people want to vote for someone who at least stands a chance of winning. Dem-Rep's are the only current options for that.

And Crystal, voting Independent in this election would be akin to voting for McCain, IMO. The dems are so fractured at this point I almost think that the Clintons are in cahoots with the Republicans to make sure they pull every trick in the book to ensure that McCain IS elected the next Prez. If his old behind makes it til November. |

<<sigh>> I know A_womon. This election is starting to stink as bad as the last 2. Are there any international election observers watching this mess for wrong-doing like they do in other parts of the world?

A very good question! US is always touting "democracy" all over the world, trying to make sure other countries "get it right" that people are allowed due process to elect whomever they deem fit for the job, but who's policing the US? |

Even if, - under close scrunity by outside monitors who were impeccable arbitrators, - ol Hil won this election fair and square with both the popular vote and the electoral vote, Obama's supporters would not be convinced or consoled. With them, HRC is damned if she does, and damned if she doesn't. I suspect Hillary supporters would, fortunately, get over a loss because they don't seem that invested in her. And it ain't like if either one of them gets elected there will be any great changes. So the popularity contest continues and McClain may win by default. And so it goes,

This isn't about Hillary or Obama. Not everyone is all gung-ho over either one. Although I voted for Obama if Hillary wins the nomination fair and square - she wins. Which is just my point. The popular vote is already skewed with the way the Democratic Committee has handled Florida and Michigan. I blame them for this mess! Where are their political analysts that should have been able to see this comming? I could and I don't even know much about it. If [WHEN???] McCain wins a whole lot of fingers will be able to point to the Dem Committee not just the individual candidate.

This is true, Crystal. The Dems can't win for losing. They are snatching defeat out of the jaws of victory, all because of poor organization which would seem to bespeak of the everybody wanting to be a Chief and nobody wanting to be an Indian syndrome. |

Any suggestions? [be nice (None. This ain't your fault. The Democrats have never really recovered from the nuetralization of the Kennedy clan) That's what happens when you put all your eggs in one basket. |
