I heard reported via CNN last night that during yesterday's primaries, Hispanics chose Hillary over Barack by a margin of 2:1. And Asians choose her by a whoppin' 3:1. Isn't it ironic that Barack could lose this thing not because of Whites, but INSPITE of them? |

"I heard reported via CNN last night that during yesterday's primaries, Hispanics chose Hillary over Barack by a margin of 2:1. And Asians choose her by a whoppin' 3:1." Bro ABM, there is no surprise here. Let's flip the script. Let us pretend Obama was Asian or Hispanic. Who is to say blacks would not back Hillary 2:1 or 3:1? Something to think about....shrugs.....

Abm -- "Isn't it ironic that Barack could lose this thing not because of Whites, but INSPITE of them?" They're dumber than you think. The idiots are actually voting against a guy who's working very hard to break the ultimate glass ceiling so that their sorry-a/ss "Budda Head" and "Van full of fat Mexican" selves can win the White House one day. Talk about stupidity! |

"....so that their sorry-a/ss "Budda Head" and "Van full of fat Mexican" selves can win the White House one day." Is that a somewhat racist statement? Just curious......

"Hispanics" in my mind is a problematc term in this context, as it tells you nothing about the color of a person. There are Black Hispanics and White Hispanics. It is not clear to me what CNN was measuring or what conclusions we are supposed to be drawing... Are we supposed to assume that all Asians people; Chinese people who may have been in the country for 200 years are than same as a 1st generation Korean family or a Japanese family... These numbers in isolation and out of context, don't mean shit, nor do any conclusion drawn from them.

Troy, I agree there maybe be some ethnic and generation nuances that bear noting. But if 75% of ALL Asian Americans picked Hillary over Obama - a disparity that's greater than even that amongst WHITE voters - that has got to mean SOMETHING. Don't you think? |

Ntfs, I don't know if I agree that Blacks wouldn't support a Hispanic who is as engaging or dynamic as Obama. I think if there were Black person in the race, a very smart and charismatic would get some Black support, if perhaps, for no other reason but to spite White foks. But I think I'm more likely to concur with you if the politician is Asian. |

Well, if Obama zealots think they can generalize about the psyche of 40 million black folks, then others can do the same about other ethnic groups. I'd be willing to bet that about half of the black voters will vote for Hillary is Obama doesn't get the nomination. There are still a lot of black pragmatists around who wont sit out the election or vote for McCain. |
