... please don't start whining about how things are not immediately getting better.
Keep in mind that things did not get better when every chocolate city got themselves a Black Mayor. In fact, in perhaps all of these cities thing got worse for Black folks -- Black men in particular.
What makes Barack different is that he is not beholden to the the self serving Black political elite that accomplished little of significance, in the Black community, since the civil rights era almost 1/2 a century ago.
Indeed with the exception of a few select political cronies, one can argue that the Black masses are worse off.
Now Barack is no God -- not even close. He has to work within the existing political structure; "change" will not occur overnight.
Barack will need even more support, once he is in the office, than he is getting now.

Actually, there was nothing about the first post that would motivate blacks to vote for Obama - except for the fact that he is black. It made it sound possible that if Hillary won, Blacks might fare better... |

Obama is going to catch more hell on his first day than most Presidents have caught in a year--that is what is going to happen.
But that is it. Somebody had to be the first and he was going to catch it--and maybe some of the rest of us, too. |

You ever have a brotha tell you he can express his feelings better in bed than he can with mere words, and then when he get you in bed you realize that you don't feel the same way? I want Mr. Obama to articulate what "change" means. I'm not out to break nobody's heart.
