Hello If you thought my weekly roundups were a mess, you might want to skip this next post. I've been known to shade the truth and take a little liberty with posts that some really got involved with. As ol'boy said in Harlem Nights, "don't take this ass whoopin' personally". I was thinking about changing the names to protect the innocent but heck, that wouldn't be any fun. Get ready, it's my year end blast fest. |

I, for one, will consider the source when you let loose with your usual assault of lies, sacrificing the truth on the dull blade of what you try to project as humor. |

Bout to hit you with my best shot. Take it or leave it, love it or hate it, I'm about to do my thang. There's a song that goes "If you see me walking down the street and I start to cry, each time we meet, walk on by, walk on biiiiiiieye". "ABC, it's easy as 1-2-3" Here's the setup. Each postee to the board has a personality all their own. I am sure if I posted a quote from someone in history, we could apply that quote to someone on this board. Now, if I do the same with classic lines from movies I think you might see where I am going. Look, I know some will say that they don't see themselves in that light but truth be told others do. That is what makes it funny... at least I think so. Check it out, we've had great discussion. Now, if I throw those discussions into a classic movie; twisting some of the lines, I think I have something to work with. But again, if you can't laugh at yourself or laugh along OR do not think my stuff is funny... "it's easy as 1-2-3, skip over me-me-me" But I'll tell you what. Even though this has taken me hours to prepare... I mean HOURS, I will heed to the most popular demand. |

You can attribute this famous quote from "Gone With The Wind" to me: "Frankly, my dear, I don't give a damn." |

You say I should be a good sport? OK, I'll get with the program, especially since that shady-looking picture Carey posted of himself exuded such a lecherous quality that I'm inspired to create a scenario wherein Carey shows up at an AALBC function with a 15-year-old girl on his arm and, assuming his best Al Pacino bravado, requests that everybody "say hello to my lil friend." Say what, Carey? You're not a dirty ol man? No matter. What's a little lie for the sake of a good laugh. |

Well, where is it? I'll post on a AALBC.com proper page for posterity. Though it will probably take me a minute to get to it. I'm a few months behind on my best sellers lists and I missed the two months of newsletters. I always fall behind this time of year... |

It's coming. See, I have it on my PC and I didn't think to bring a copy. Now I know you didn't think I was going to let yawl slip by. Oh no, I got a little something for everyone. But don't worry, I am not going to be mean. It's something a little different, not the usaul thang. I am not going to say Yvette dropped Prince or that Crystal ran off with Kitty's guy. Been there, done that. I am not even going to talk about Thumper's anger problem. Nope, not even going to say a thang about A-womon's attempt at changing her image. Li-Li is safe and so is Chocolate Mint. Emanuel has nothing to worry about and neither does Nels. Jackie can sing satisfied and so can Chris Hayden. Brown Robin and Urban Scribe can be rest assured that they will not be on the front page. Nom De Plume and Tonya don't have a thang to worry about, I will not end the year laying scandel to their names. See, I've mellowed over the years and I've seen the errors of my ways. Sooooo, I think Sunday will be the day. After being around my grandson during this holiday period, I need a rest. Look, these kids get way to many toys. Then, when they look around for someone to play with they seem to look for the oldest person in the room because we must look like we need some cheering up or something. On top of that, why does the momma and daddy think all grandparents want to stay home with these new age kids? Yeah, they be like, "okay dad, we're going out and won't be back until late tonight". Anyway, I am tired and I am ready to be home without grandchildren asking a hundred questions. I am tired of being the horse, the punching bag, the "look at me granddaddy" and the babysitter. I don't want to play another video game. I don't want someone peeking in my bedroom every 30 minutes to see if I am up for another round "let's play armymen". I don't want to read another childrens book and be asked to make the sound of every animal on the page. My knees hurt from running along side a 5 year old while he attempts to learn how to ride his new bike that his uncle gave him. I was wondering how I got the dang job anyway. I am tired. It's been fun but it's time for this one to go home. I got yawl but I need a little time to find my nerves. These kids done burnt me up. |

How can a crabby ol fart who is irritated by his grandchildren refer to himself as someone who has "mellowed with age"?? Puleeze. Sounds more like somebody who has become rancid with age. And, wow! Is everybody holding their breath, awaiting Sunday when the great Carey will come down from the mountain carrying his etched stone tablets, ready to reveal to the world his commandments. Better hope he doesn't suffer a fracture by dropping one of the heavy objects on the foot that he doesn't have in his mouth. |
