The idea is to keep there names alive and in many cases to introduce these writters to new people. I'll probably create profiles for all of these authors. So far I have three people: Aime Cesaire (June 26, 1913 – April 17, 2008) Pinkie Gordon Lane (January 13, 1923 – Dec. 2008) Charles Stevenson Wright (June 4, 1932 - Oct. 1 2008) Who else should be added to this list? Lane was the first African American woman to receive the Ph.D. degree from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge Charles Stevenson Wright http://authors.aalbc.com/charles_wright.htm Ishmael Reed's says Wright's novel The Wig is “one of the most underrated novels by a black person in this century”[20th] Anyone have a photo of Wright that I can use on the website?
