Hello All, I just found out that Toni Morrison has a new novel coming out on Nov. 11, 2008, titled A Mercy. Oh boy, I'm going to have to read Faulkner's The Snopes, before then. |

Hello Thumper, What's your favorite Toni Morrison novel? I love Sula and remember reading The bluest eyes growing up but really appreciating it when I got older. I even saw a play at the Freedom theatre in Philly on the Bluest Eyes and it was performed well. You won't believe it but I never read or saw the movie Beloved but saw a play in philly on the Margaret Gardner story which the book Beloved was based on and thought it was good. Maybe the plays help me to see and understand Toni's novels better. Take care, Vanders |

Hello All, Vanders: My favorite Toni Morrison books has to be The Song of Solomon and Sula. I loved The Bluest Eye and Paradise too. I would love for Sula to be a movie, just to see Sula walking up the road with blackbirds flying around her. |

I liked Song of Solomon, too. It was just so different, - so whimsical. |
