PUB: black masculinity essay contest ============ ========= ========= BLACK MASCULINITY ESSAY COMPETITION What does it mean to be a man? How are black men represented and perceived? What obstacles do they encounter? Are black men ever celebrated for any positive contributions to mainstream American culture? Focusing on how black masculinity defines the African American experience, within and outside the mainstream, use the blog format to explore the dynamics of family, justice, community, and culture. Answer these questions, or any others you think relevant to the theme of black masculinity in America, in 400 words or less, including videos and pictures if desired. Only two submissions are allowed per writer. Winning selections will receive 0 per article and feedback from Greg Tate.
