CHICAGO--May 4, 2008: The winners and finalists for the eighth annual Emma Awards were honored May 3 at a gala event during Romance Slam Jam 2008 at the Wyndham O'Hare Hotel in Rosemont, Ill. The awards, named for Emma Rodgers, former co-owner of Black Images Book Bazaar in Dallas and an event founder, honors excellence in African-American romance fiction.
