January 7, 2008 For Immediate Release MEDIA INQUIRIES Troy Johnson, AALBC.com, (866) 603-8394 Gwen Richardson, Cushcity.com, (281) 444-4265 Ron Kavanaugh, MosaicBooks.com, (718) 530.9132 THREE LARGEST AFRICAN-AMERICAN BOOK SITES JOIN FORCES TO PROMOTE BLACK LITERATURE HOUSTON, TX – AALBC.com, Cushcity.com and MosaicBooks.com, the three largest and most established web sites focusing on African-American literature, announced today that they have joined forces to offer comprehensive online book promotion options to self-published authors and small publishing firms. Together, the three web sites have over 30 years of combined online presence and over 4 million page views per month. Each site brings different strengths to the venture. AALBC.com, founded by Troy Johnson of Harlem, N.Y. in 1998, is now the largest website dedicated to promoting books by and about African Americans. Cushcity.com, co-founded by Willie and Gwen Richardson of Houston, Tex. in 1998, is the world’s largest African-American Internet retailer with over 20,000 products online, including books, DVDs, Greek products, calendars and art. MosaicBooks.com, founded by Ron Kavanaugh of the Bronx, NY, in 1996, was the first site created to showcase African-American literature. It recently celebrated its 10th anniversary online. “This effort brings unprecedented exposure to millions of African-American book readers worldwide,” says Johnson. “I am pleased to work with Cushcity and MosaicBooks to bring African-American authors and consumers together.” The three sites will initially offer self-published authors and small presses simultaneous, prominent placement on each of the three sites’ home pages. There are also plans to expand these coordinated services in the future to include e-blasts and other marketing opportunities for authors. The announcement comes on the heels of recent news reports highlighting the growth in the number of African-American titles published annually and the resultant increase in book sales revenue. Based upon book sales figures for 2006 released by the American Association of Publishers, African Americans spend about $1 billion of the estimated $24 billion spent in the U.S. annually on books. • Publishers, for more information regarding the joint online marketing effort contact Ron Kavanaugh, ron@mosaicbooks.com, (718) 530-9132 ###

Thanks everyone. Belletristic thanks for the plug. Soul Sister where you been? Here is a little more detail on the first deal we are offering. Prominent placement on all three sites (and the rate is less than it would be if you contracted for the same service with each site individually): Visit http://mosaicbooks.com/banner.htm for more information. It is pretty unlikely anyone, looking for a book by or about Black folks, will miss seeing a book promoted with our first deal. I'm actually excited about this collaboration, this will make it much easier for authors to quickly expose their books to our audience and it also helps our respective businesses – this really is one of those win-win-win situations.

I ....ahhh...I am lost for ahhh....something clever to say. I don't ever want to use one of those 1969 phrases like Chris did ...*smile*.....what's up troy. I see you're still playing in the right game. My Man! Soul-Sister, Hey Baby! When your name hit the board I knew I had arrived. It was just like an old school slow jam....it took me somewhere.....it took me to a good place. I better be careful, I don't want to get too melancholy, I know Ms. gatekeeper is lurking somewhere real close......opps...their she is...HI Cyn-Cyn *lol*. Hey A-Women, it's about time isn't it? It's killing me.......you know....trying not to talk about....ahhh.... Carey Carey |

Okay A_Women, lets see....the last time we spoke you told me I couldn't talk about a certain project you were engaged in. Now I don't know if you were playing the big nutrole or you really didn't remember. Soooooo, I'll just play your straight man like Ice Cube in First Sunday or Dean Martin with Jerry Lewis or anybody that plays opposite Epps the comedian. Speaking of the movie First Sunday, that had me dying. Cat Williams drove me to tears. Did he have the choir director thang down or what. Even Tracy Morgan was funny as hell! Y'all know I can talk for days about movies........ I miss Thumper......I REALLY DO! I have not been visiting the site much and I don't know who's in the house that care to discuss them. Thump and I used to get it on......I said this before and if was the truth then it's is the truth now. I've heard said the the truth doesn't have a specific time or hour, it's time is always NOW! Soooooo....I Miss Thumper! Hey Sisg! How r you? The last time we spoke I think I caught you at a bad time and after we hung up I even thought that you weren't sure who you were talking to. Then I thought you could have been sitting there with your best guy and wasn't even trying to explain who this fool was that you were talking to on the phone. You know how you suspect that someone is holding back something when you get all those cookie cutter replies *lol*. I said to myself, damn, ol'girl talked to me like I had snot hangin' from my nose *smile*. For real though, I was kind of like.......damn, Sisgal done come up and I can't ride no mo. Talkin' about droppin' a nigga off at the bridge....och. Hey Chystal, tell me about all that money you won on....ahhh....ahhhh, your trip. Now I ain't trying to tell your business but I just needed to know if your needed some help in spending all dat der money? Did Y'all notice ol'boys Troy and Yukio was up in there spending big movie. I don't know about y'all but they would have to have given me some pigfeet, some greens, a Peach cobler and a lap dance for that kind os money *smile*. But wait, I really ain't into that lap-dance thang. See, we all know when that thang gets a little moist it can....well...ahhh....you know. AND if I want it rubbed on me I don't want to get my gear all...ahhh...."moisted" up AND especailly with some other dudes moister.......feelin' me ...uuhhh. Come on now.....if i want something rubbed on me I don't want something blockin' the game....huh. Hey, make my funk the "P" funk, I love to get funked up.......but I want it to be MY Funk! AND....AND, I ain't in that.....ahhh....that look at me while I get exited. Am trying to save that for my baby. Y'all know those ugly faces we can make when the feelin' is just right. See, I buy my lady her perfume and I don't even want to smell some cheap knockoff with a hint of "Trucker" and "Baller". I don't want to smell old drull......except my drull *lol*. Look, I like to see tittys and big black bouncing ass like the next man....BUT, if I am going to be putting some money in some panties and spankin' some ass it's going to be my ass....my girls ass, with all the lumps and bumps that come with it. AND if I get a little short on cash I can reach back in that G-String and get mine back. Shit....she might even want to put a little something in my drawers.....come on now....*smile*. Okay, I done run off at the mouth and forgot where I came from......Soooooooo.......Holla! Carey Carey |

Carey, you are so crazy...didn't nobody "drop a nigga" off at the bridge. lol! Nope, i'm not that kinda gal...can't remember the last time we talked though, i know i missed alot of calls...that's because you call with "privacy" on and i don't answer "privacy", so that could be the reason, plus when you call with "privacy", you have no number to return the call. I'm fine Carey, busy, life is good and no Honey yet, still taking apps! See ya! |

I wonder what some people do on their job. I know one somebody that does little or nothing on hers. Crystal! Yeah, the women must be gettin' paid for playing around in Thumpers Corner. I just hit the board with a little nothing and the women hit me on the phone like in two minute. I can't tell you what she said but it was ugly. I mean, you would have thought I'd slapped her mother or something. Okay, I misspelled her name.....okay, what's the issue. I must have mispelled 20 words or more.....that what I do *smile*. In one sentance I wrote " Troy and Yukio spent big "movie". Now, how can you spend big movie. But I know y'all caught what I meant to say. anyway, I am thinking about getting a job at the same place crystal "works". I know I won't need much experience, just the ability to find Thumpers Corner @ AALBC. Plus, Crystal wanted me to explain the part in my post about lap-dances. See, I think she just wanted me to talk dirty to her *lol*. You know what I did, I talked dirty to her *smile*. Now what was so confussing about the lap-dance thang? I never got to ask her what the big questions were about, I didn't get by asking her what color panties she had on. |

Cyn-Cyn, yelp, ignorant but hilarious. I don't want to give the movie away and you know we can be ignorant and to rob a church is nothing but foul but Kat Williams was just a fool. Did you see his standup? He has one with four other comedians that had me rollin'. I usually don't like much of the standup that's out there. It's filled with to much graphic sex routines for me (this coming from a man that just got through talking about panties) but theres a line that they cross that's a little much for me but Kat williams and his crew was funny. Do you go to the movies much? I have to say that I am one of those that *cough cough* have a ..ahhh....bootleg guy. Okay, I haven't stolen any cable lately but I did purchase the movie The Great Debators from a man on the corner. Spank me, yeah I did it. Hey, money is funny and they be asking way to much money for popcorn and a movie. Can you say almost 50 bucks to take a family. Can you say almost 35 to take one fat women and feed her? Come on now, I can pay 5 dollars and go to her spot and let her cook with a smile. Look here, there is one thing a "good" black women is going to do......well 2 things, cook and get her hair done. Hey, I like a good "big women". I mean, like Sisgal...I mean like sisgal said, I am taking all apps for women over 170lbs....love 'em. That still didn't come out right. I meant I am still looking like Sisgal and unlike Sisgal I am looking for a women and she does not have to be on a diet. Sisgal, I was just kidding, but like you said my number probably did come up "private" yet we did talk but I ain't mad. Heck we've been friends for damn near a decade so I still love ya. Talked with Linda over the holidays. She's easy to talk with, she talks as much as I do. Her surprise call made my day. Thanks Linda. Crystal, I don't know why your lips are so poked out? Okay, okay, so we didn't talk dirty *smile*. Like Cynique once said, this is cyber space and no one really know who we are. Now, I've told the world that you don't do phone sex, can we still be friends? My hand is extended to you. See, you know me, you know I just be acting a fool. So don't be up in here cussing and thangs *smile*. Don't have me come out there and spank you....opps, there I go talking crazy again. You hate that ......don't you? Looks like Crystal ain't the only one that has one of those jobs that they can just do what they do. Man, that must be great. See, I knew Sisgal got it like that, she just talks like she's boss lady. I mean she sounds like she's fall in lovable. I wonder if her lips are as soft as they sound. I wonder if she's over 165lbs? I wonder...... |

Hey Carey you old hound dog you. I see you still taking discussion board conversations way off subject clipart/{smile}! Cyn-Cyn, you should check out Kam review of <b>First Sunday</i> http://reviews.aalbc.com/first_sunday.htm Kam gives the movie 0 stars. Kam is one of those reviewers that I strongly disagree with or strongly agree with. Now Kam really liked http://aalbc.com/reviews/balls_of_fury.htm I saw it on DVD recently and I thought it sucked (well it was OK but not the 3.5 stars Kam gave it). I'm thinking how bad can a Kat Williams movie be? Then again I know if the movie has coonin' in it Kam is not going to like it... |

Zero stars, now I don't know about that. This fella just.....must have lived in the suburbs or wished he had. I bet he doesn't even have facial hair. Yes, Carey, I have seen Kat Williams' special on cable TV, and like you, his absurdity had me bustin my sides, laughing. And yes, Troy, I think Kam should sometimes just suspend his sophistication and stop judging "cooning" by white standards. It is what it is; funny. |

Cyn-Cyn, I can't believe it, you and I agree completely, damn. Yeah, you said what I would have liked to. Kam seems to be looking at the world through the eyes of others or what he thinks others see and/or feel. Hey, troy used cli/{smile}!, could someone tell me what that is? Oh no am I getting off subject? I told Troy I would try to do better BUT I don't even know what that is *smile*. What, a better speller, a better fool.......what, be better at jacken' with folks....what? See, y'all be talkin' so serious sometimes and I just can't go there. I like to say that I've been somewhere and I ain't trying to go back there. Am not talking about a place in time, am talking about in my heart and in my mind. So excuse me if my posts are filled with laughs and a sprinkling of my joy. I tell people that I am like firm wet soil and I have to be concerned about what I allow to be planted in me. Soooooo, I have to do Carey. Y'all have to admit that it can get a little dry up in here so I need to make my main thang the main thang. Beside, y'all been known to run folks up out of here and I've paid my dues to come up in here and act a damn fool. *lol* I don't want to have to go to the archieves and pull up some mess that y'all done stirred up in here *smile*. OH YEAH, y"all done showed y'all ass up in here and I liked every minute of it. I will say that at times I thought we were a little strong with some but hey, always is not really always and I like to say what about a time called now. By the way, what ever happened to the brotha that y'all beat up about that book he trying to promote about sex or the wonders of it. You know, I think it had someething to do with positions or how to please a women? Has he come back for more? Hey Chris, I didn't quite get your post. Who is the "can't tell apart without the beard" . Agaaain. I've forgot why I vistied today, Maybe it was simply to holla and say THANKS FOR BEING HERE. Oh, Troy and Yukio was up in that joint spending fat loot. Now what does that say about their pockets *smile*. FAT FAT FAT, dey got fat pockets. Not to long ago I remember when Troy was 150 lbs and returning pop cans to make ends meet. I remember when he was looking for material to post and had to reach down and but one of my posts on Walter Moseley's page. Yelp, I looked the other day and it's still there. That made me feel good. I remember when his daughters didn't have sell phones and he didn't have that shotgun by the door *smile*. I remember........ Hi Cyrtal! You've called me during my bad times so I need to know that we are still cool. I'll put that laugh thing back on my phone if that will please you. I'd give you a smile if I could see you. I will....I was about say I'll drink you r bath water but I'd be telling a lie *lol*. Nevertheless, everyone knows I am only kidding when I say those things about our conversations soooooo, pick up that lip *smile*. Cyn-Cyn knows, Chris knows, Yukio knows, Linda knows, Troy knows, Sisgal....knows......I hope. I know she knows because she usually starts her posts with, "Carey you are such a fool" and that lets me know that am okay. Hi Sisgal, I hope I don't be embarrasing you up in here? It's always good to see that you are still around. Carey Carey |
