Of the "Ten Best Black Films (Studio)" movies I only saw two; Talk to me and Rush Hour 3. Rush Hour 3 seemed like a questionable choice, I asked Kam if it was a weak year for movies he said it was. I also know Kam gives equal weight to all genres of movies; so a slap stick comedy can rank a high as a serious period piece. I would not rank Rush Hour 3 ahead of Talk to Me. And I still can't image any Tyler Perry movie being a better flick than Talk to Me. I'll check them out on video... maybe.

I am surprised that Kam Williams is so taken with a buffoon like Chris Tucker whose acting skills are limited to playing the fool. |

As comedians go, I am neither a fan of Cosby or Step N Fetchit. Altho black flim historians say that the latter was actually a comedic actor who has been erroneously maligned. Since you have a one-track mind, chrishayden, and are so lacking in flexibility, you just can't conceive of the idea that I don't have to be a fan of Cosby to agree with him when he makes his common sense remarks. |

Altho black flim historians say that the latter was actually a comedic actor who has been erroneously maligned. (I know what they SAY! You seen the character he played in the films--I'm not talking about HIM because he was so slick he played white racism into a 2 million dollar fortune--it is probably karma that he lost it all and died penniless. Now, I know that people will come in and say--that was the only way he could make it blah blah blah But it wasn't. He made Mantan Moreland and Eddie Rochester Anderson look like Malcolm X. His character was really not even human. |
