No I didn't Linda. I am fascinated by the effort and how it has grown, though. Only recently I learned of all the off-shoots of it. I have been thinking about trying to start one of my own for academic writers working on dissertations, journal articles, etc. Maybe next November So...how is it going for you? Are you going to meet (or already have met) the word count goal? Is there anything we can do to help you? How are you finding the process? Anyway: GOOD LUCK! |

I was previously unfamiliar with National Novemember Writing Month. However Persia Walker (http://aalbc.com/authors/persia_walker.htm), less that two hours ago, told me that her latest book Darkness and the Devil Behind Me was spawned from last year's NANOWRIMO effort. If really got her focused on the effort of writing her book.

NaNoWriMo has some excellent principles and ideas that I'm currently following with the novel I'm working on. I'm just giving myself 90 days instead of 30, which is still pressure enough. |

Well Yvette It's going and I am inching closer. It is so hard to just write and not edit until December. Free style and errors seem to annoy me. I keep wanting to fix them. But, I am forcing myself to leave them. I have to admit though it does keep me focused on finishing . I refuse to lose to the validator. Everyone can really help me by asking just what you did every day and talking about me when I slack. How many so far? 38,943 and creeping. |

Linda: how'd it go? Sorry no one checked in with you again last month--But hopefully you were so busy writing that you never had time to read TC! |
