Urban Reviews - July 2007 Newsletter - Two Year Anniversary Edition

Hey Everybody! We finally made it! Our TWO YEAR ANNIVERSARY is finally here! We want to thank everybody that made this day possible. We certainly wouldn't be in existence if it weren't so many people checking out the website...so for that, we thank you wholeheartedly. You're continued support over the past two years has helped us elevate to NEW HEIGHTS! We have reviewed countless books and interviewed many authors over the past two years. And we know you made that possible. Now, check out the updates for July 2007!

New Beginnings

This past year, we launched On The Line With Radiah Hubbert where we did audio interviews with top authors in the game. Nikki Turner, Carl Weber, Donna Hill, Shannon Holmes, and many more have blessed our site with some wonderful audio interviews that you won't find on any other site! Next month we have secured our biggest author to date! Check out the site in August to see who we landed an interview with! We guarantee that it will be one you don't want to miss!
The last couple months we've even loosened the reins and expanded to a five-person review team! The inclusion of Nardsbaby, Jackie, and Lashonda has turned out to be a wonderful decision, and we hope you enjoy their honest opinions on the works that they have reviewed and will review for the site. We now cover all kinds of AA Fiction titles, so be on the lookout for reviews from some of your favorite authors!
New Features
------------
We have gone to great lengths to add and rework features to the site to appeal to the growing visitors to the site. We added a Promotional Portfolio that details most of the sites that we have been featured on. We continue to update the AA Fiction New Releases page with all the releases that we can find. In late December, we started 'The Forthcoming' where a daily book preview is posted on our blog The Pinnacle as well as forwarded to the Yahoo Group. We also have expanded to other areas to expose the Urban Reviews brand like the Yahoo Group, the Myspace page, and countless other places.
More and more authors and publishing companies are requesting reviews, interviews, and other publicity from Urban Reviews. And since we couldn't accommodate them all, we included an Author Connection page this past year to highlight some authors, websites, and companies within the AA Fiction arena. Also, the front page of the website features the Hottest Pre-Orders, a Book Preview of the Month, and a Book Excerpt of the Month for even more exposure for new and upcoming AA Fiction titles.
Looking Forward
---------------
We have made all of our contests (besides this month's special Lucky 7 contest) into Random Monthly Giveaways. There will be no more Trivia Contests at Noon on a certain day or anything of the sort. All you will have to do is be a Yahoo Group member and send your mailing address to the special email address for all contests and we will randomly select the winners! This month's Lucky 7 contest is a weekly contest during the month of July in celebration of our Two Year Anniversary. For more details on that, visit the Contest Page. Good Luck Everybody!
