Hey Authors, Have you ever considered using cold calling to sell your book to libraries? It's really simple and can increase your sales tremendously. Simply go to www.publiclibraries.com to find libraries. Then ask for Purchasing or Acquistions. Tell them the details about your book, where it has been reviewed and what distributors carry it. Then sit back and watch libraries purchase your book in BULK. I sold many copies of my novel "Where is the Love" this way. If you're afraid to get on the phone or don't know how to make cold calls, you can get a copy of my upcoming book "Dead Guys Don't Buy: A Winner's Guide to Cold Calling LIVE Prospects" from this site for only $9.99 by going to this page: http://aalbc.com/cgi/aalbcamazonproductsfeed.cgi?locale=us&input_string=dead+guys+don%27t+buy&mode=books It's a great book for anyone who wants to master the art of cold calling and prospecting. And a portion of the proceeds will be donated to charity to help college students pay for school. Here's a picture of the cover:

I think you're brilliant Emanuel. I just have one question about your book - does it help one sell other merchandise besides just books/publications??? Thanks!

Thanks Mzuri and Cynique. The book is not focused specifically on selling one type of merchandise. I use the techniques to sell software and other products and services for my day job and use it to call libraries to purchase my books during other times. Authors can make a lot of money selling books to the library market if the book has been reviewed by at least one major publication and the book is distributed through Baker & Taylor or Ingram. |

One more thing I forgot to tell you. I run a blog on cold calling techniques if you're interested. It's http://coldcallingnow.blogspot.com . There's an excerpt from the book there and lots of posts on how to cold call successfully. |

Troy, Thanks for the newsletter shoutout. Providing a AALBC link to my post is the least I can do for allowing me to post info on my book at no charge. |
