Albany State University will host author Charlotte Russell Johnson FOR World AIDS Day. Mrs. Johnson gained national fame following the release of her first novel A Journey to Hell and Back. In the past for years, Ms. Johnson has penned three additional books: Daddy’s Hugs, Grace Under Fire: The Journey Never Ends, and The Flipside: A Journey to Hell and Back. Ms. Johnson is the founder of Reaching Beyond, Inc. and Reaching Beyond Ministries. Her work has encompasses helping inmates, victims of AIDS, teenage mothers, welfare recipients, and substance abusers. Started in 1988, World AIDS Day is an opportunity to increase public awareness, education and fight prejudice.
