Moderator: Vanesse Lloyd-Sgambati, The Literary , Philadelphia, PA Panel: Irene Smalls, Little Brown and Company, Inc., is a beloved author of many books for children, including Jonathan and His Mommy, Kevin and His Dad, and newly released My Nana and Me. Ms. Smalls will speak on planning in store events for children. Jacqueline Woodson, acclaimed and award winning author whose recent book Miracle Boys was also a made for TV movie. Ms. Woodson will speak on the selection of contemporary stories for urban youth. Bernette Ford, CEO of Color-Bridge Books, is a consultant for the Just For You! series published by Scholastic for grades K-3. Michele Echols is a literacy consultant for non-profit organizations.
