ladies
would you be disappointed if you dated a man that would not have sex with you unless you got married?
as a rule do you say no absolutely to sex outside of marriage?
i admit i have had sex many times with women i dated but didn't marry basically because i didn't want to wait.
i could not imagine being a virgin at my age (40)
i lost it at around 21 to a prostitute in Amsterdam in 1988.
at that time i was so desperate to lose my virginity and experience sex intercourse.
and because i still had no steady girlfriend at 21
i decided to pay for sex and i must say that it was pleasurable but looking back i wish i had waited because now i have to live with the shame of having lost my virginity to a prostitute.
i didn't have sex again till i was around 32 years old and since then i more than made up for
the years i went without.
but the fact is im 40 years old and i still
haven't found miss right and i wonder if i ever will?
nowadays im trying not to have sex unless
i have made a commitment with a view to getting married.
that caused the break up of my last relationship because i wanted to wait but she didn't and eventually she felt so frustrated and ended up calling off the relationship.
and what with the studying i have been doing with jw's i kinda feel guilty to give in to my natural desire to have sex outside of marriage.
so for me it is a battle between pleasing myself and my partner or denying myself to please god.
of course if i did find miss right i would get married and would be free of the guilt of misusing
something that belongs to a man and woman that are married.
could that be the reason why as people we tend to do things the way we choose because if the relationship doesn't work out, you don't have to go through the trauma of divorce?
what would you prefer?
getting married only to find it doesn't work and then having to go through divorce proceedings?
or just live together have sex and not bother doing it "the right way"?

you must have an opinion on sex outside of marriage?
for what its worth
a poll in London says that many people are co-habiting rather than getting wed.
they said money problems was a factor in this growing trend.
is it so in the states?

Obviously a lot of other people prefer the real thing, too, which is why they have sex outside of marriage.You prefer the real thing but in the absence of it, do you settle for second best in the company of yourself? Sex outside of marriage is a subject I really don't have strong convictions about one way or another, and considering the response you got to this question, nobody else on the board does either. tsk-tsk. |

why do i picture you with forearms that would make popeye jealous due to years and years of jacking off? if you have some sort of religious hang-up then maybe you should hang up on that religion. other than that, you need to be like o.j. all day and get your stab on (not with a knife though) at 40 you only have so long for that thing to work like it's in prestine condition. besides i'm sure everyone that you've been shaken hands with over the last few years would appreciate you not damn cutting off their circulation because of you jerkulation.

I will bite. I feel the world is way too judgemental and that people should be able to live their lives the way they want to. In today's society, where not the minority but the majority of women will be single either because of divorce or never marrying at all, it is unrealistic to expect them to go their entire lives without exploring their sexuality. Each person must make their own decisions.
I know many people who do not have sex outside of marriage because of religious reasons. I know others who are simply sick of bad sex and are celibate. Lastly I know many people who get their groove on several times a week. The bottom line is that people should live without regrets and only you can decide what you feel is right for you and your situation.

Imtiredowaiting should've used the term "pre-marital sex". Sex outside of marriage can mean adultry. My feelings about pre-marital sex are that if it is a personal decision involving adults, then anything goes. Teen-agers who want to experiment with sex should use condoms. |

i wouldnt be mad at a guy who wanted to wait till marriage to have sex with me...in fact i would PREFER one who wanted to wait till marraige...but i dont know how realistic that will be.
but if i got the right guy who was willing to do that i would feel like ive hit the jackpot..the problem is i havent met any guys willing to wait till marriage....or even to wait long enough PERIOD (regardless of if i tell them i want to wait till marriage or not) and they end up getting anrgy with me and the relationship doesnt last that long.
i rarely mention to a guy that i want to wait till marriage because 1. i kow that will turn them off and 2. i dont just HAVE to wait till marriage but i want to know that the person is right before i go there (and that usually takes a long time to decide because with alot of people you can go years without really knowing them).......but my preference is still to wait till marriage.
again i dont know how realistic that will be though because i dont know what i'll end up doing if i met the right one. |
