Everybody is trying to act like 2000 and 2004 didn't happen--you know, Bush stole the election based largely on disenfranchisment of minority voters and because candyass Gore and Kerry backed down from a challenge-- When is somebody going to ask the Democratic candidates THIS question-- If the Republicans win the election based on election irregularites as occured in 2000 and 2004 are you going to stand fast for an election challenge--or cave like a pussy? If they won't fight it is a waste voting for them because they are beaten already. May as well line up behind the Republican and beg for mercy. |

Democrats, Republicans, whatever. If you'd read "New England White", chrishayden, you'd know what needs to be done - as far as blacks go. |

If the republicans did steal the election throught irregularities, they would obviously have people in strategic positions to manipulate the votes. So the logical leap would be that they would also have the same people, or people like them in position to manipulate a recount or a challenge so what good would it do? |

As if there weren't any election irregularities prior to 2000. Why don't you get off your butts and go work at the polls next time, instead of whining about things. Better yet, go vote next time. DUMMYCRATS!!! |

Who says that Democrats didn't come out and vote in the last election??? They captured as many states with large electoral votes as the Republicans but the bible belt states where all of the fanatical christian evangelicals are clustered made the difference. What the Dems need is a lying dirty trick expert like Karl Rove. |

I never suggested that democrats don't vote, I'm saying that the people who whine about the status quo are the very ones that do not vote. Every time I have a conversation with someone who complains about the state of affairs or the elected officials, I ask them if they voted, and the typical response is silence. Most people are lazy and complacent and they don't bother to vote. But they'll flap their lips about it after the fact. |

On a national level, a lot of people have lost faith in the system. Especially after the mix-up in Florida where the outcome was in doubt, making it necessary for the conservative-dominated Supreme court to appoint Dubya as the president of the United States. And it all went down hill from there. Also the electoral college negates a lot of votes because it does not always reflect the popular vote. We need a new system or a benign dictator who will act in the greater good for all and eliminate partisan politics. IMO. |

"What the Dems need is a lying dirty trick expert like Karl Rove." True....true... I always vote. Too many people put their lives on the line so that I could. I will not disrespect their sacrifices by not doing so. The elections were stolen (with the help of the US Supreme Court the first time). The Bush administration is the worst in US history. Even his fellow Republicans (who are in total disarray) are openly turning against his abysmal polices, back firing nepotism, stupidity and obnoxious arrogance. The latest big ballers to bail on him are Rove and Gonzales. How interesting. The list grows longer each day. I saw Michelle Malkin, a hard line conservative Republican, blast Bush today for his horrific record for the most blatantly entrenched cronyism in political history. She went down a long list of pathetic Republican appointed loyalists who had zero qualifications for their hand picked appointments. Unlike dull minded political hacks and apologists like Rush Limbaugh and Sean Hannity, she did not hold back excoriating Bush. You know things have gotten out of hand when Republican paleoconservatives like Bernie Goldberg, Newt Gingrich and Michelle Malkin will openly criticize a Republican president. But it's a good thing.

"Where was (the eminently shaggable) Michelle Malkin the 6 years prior?" Oh, she's been around for a while. As I said, whenever a hard line right winger like her criticizes the "Kingdom of Nepotism and Cryonism" (also known as the Bush Administration), times have really gotten bad.
