There is a movement on in many states to make it mandatory for young girls to take a vaccine for cervical cancer that is manufactured by the Merck company. DON'T FALL FOR IT. The stuff ain't been tested. The incidence of Cervical cancer is not as much as for other kinds of cancers. Merck is the only one with a vaccine on the market and stands to clean up if they push this legislation through. |

Keep your nose out of women's cervexes, chrishayden. Cervical cancer is the second most common cancer in women and kills upwards of 150,000 a year. A vaccine for it should at least be available for those who want it. |

(Keep your nose out of women's cervexes, chrishayden. Cervical cancer is the second most common cancer in women and kills upwards of 150,000 a year. A vaccine for it should at least be available for those who want it. Young Negroes, you'll do nothing until ignorant old Negroes like this are gone It can be informative to examine from what U.S. women are dying statistically. According to the American Heart Association, coronary heart disease, which causes heart attacks, is the leading cause of death for American women. "Many women believe that cancer is more of a threat, but they're wrong. Nearly twice as many women in the United States die of heart disease and stroke as from all forms of cancer, including breast cancer." Even so, a recent Washington Post article states that more than 200,000 US women are diagnosed with breast cancer each year and 40,000 die annually as a result -- a mortality rate almost ten times higher than that of cervical cancer. None of this is meant to minimize the tragedy of cervical cancer, with which more than 11,000 U.S. women are diagnosed each year and which, according to the American Cancer Society, is expected to claim 3,700 lives in the U.S. in 2007 alone, and many times more in developing countries. It is instead meant to set the stage and to keep in perspective the risk as we examine the push for mandatory vaccination, especially since not all cases of cervical cancer are caused by HPV infection.

Thank you for your info, chrishayden. Now, we know you have to pause and pee again cuz the old prostate gland is acting up. Why don't you go the doctor and have it checked? There might be some new medicine out there because those diapers you have to wear are just a way for the manufacturers to make money. |

And we shouldn't be surprised that a kook like chrishayden is a devotee of the conspiracy plant's web site. Next, he'll be advising mothers to protest having silver nitrate dropped into the eyes of newborns to prevent blindness, and be advising women to put a knife under their hospital beds to cut the pain of labor instead of allowing doctors to give them a spinal. |

Commentators on both the left and the right are coming out against this--they want to make it mandatory for little girls. STOP IT IN YOUR STATE LEGISLATURE TODAY! |

That 150,000 number was the number of cancer deaths among women, including those from cervical cancer. A death from cancer, is a death from cancer. Nothing should be mandatory but the vaccine option should be available. There are great numbers of people who think children shouldn't be required to take immunity shots before entering schools and there will always be people who are suspicious of new medicines. Medicine is not an exact science so people have to do reserach and weight the pluses against the minuses and make up their own minds. |
