while i believe spirits exist i dont know what to think of this information below (rather its reliable or not) but some scientists calim to have recorded scientific proof of life after death "Scientific Evidence for Survival Of consciousness after death Dr. Ken Ring published a paper in the Journal of Near-Death Studies (Summer, 1993) concerning near-death experiencers who, while out of their bodies, witness real events that occur far away from their dead body. The important aspect to this phenomenon is that these events seen far away are later verified to be true. Experiencers not only witness events from great distances, but they have been documented to hear conversations between people at the same events. Conversations such as these have also verified to be true. An even more fascinating phenomenon occurs when the experiencer actually appears in spirit to someone, usually a loved one, during their NDE and it is verified to be true by the experiencer and the loved one. It is evidence such as this, if scientifically controlled, that can provide absolute scientific proof that consciousness can exist outside of the body. A scientifically controlled NDE that can be repeated which provides such evidence would be the scientific discovery of all time. However, science does not yet have the exact tools to accomplish this. But, science is coming very, very close. This kind of evidence and others provide very strong circumstantial evidence for the survival of consciousness. http://www.near-death.com/evidence.html " |

anyway here are a few of my own experiences. one time i was standing up in my room talking on my cell phone with the door closed....i saw the nob turn and the door opened but i didnt see anyone behind the door so i rushed into the kitchen a bit to see if it was my mom. i thought it was my mom because she was the only other person in the house with me but she was way in the kitchen sitting down peeling garlic so just to make sure i asked her if it was her and she said no. another experience i had was i was sitting down watching tv...we have a new tv that sits on top of the old tv that doesnt work anymore so we basically use this old tv to sat pictures and stuff on. anyway i had a jug of water sitting on the old tv right next to the new tv and it was pushed pretty far back so it wouldnt tip over. the bottom of the surface was wet and the jug was about 3/4ths filled with water. anyway while i was watching tv, the half gallon of water just decided to flip over and spill on the floor. can't blame it on the sound of the tv moving the water jug because first off the sound wasnt loud at all..... also its not likely that a half gallon jug of water that is 3/4ths full and bushed pretty far back would all of a sudden just tip over and fall on the floor for no reason. its not like it was sitting near the edge of the tv. then i had another experience when i was almost half sleep. when i told my friend about this experience he assumed it was because i was half sleep. but i know the difference between when im half sleep and when im just tired and well rested..anyway i was layind down wiht the light in my room turned off and i had the door partially oen...anyway i saw the door open a little more but i assumed it was probably the air anyway so when i closed my eyes i felt something hovering over me. that's as far as that experience went that night. since i was scared that night i decided to sleep with the light on and the door open. those experiences are kind of comforting and scary at the same time because at least you know for a fact that there's really no such thing as death because youve seen these things with your own eyes. it's probably God's way of showing people who have to see everything for themselves before they will believe that life never ends.. anyway im wondering if anyone else has had similar experiences |

Three weird experiences I've had: 1. My sister and I were about 9 (me) and 6. We're in the bed going to sleep and we see a tall black man, about 6 feet or so, wearing an afro and a football jersey with the number 76 on it. We both saw him. We scream for a couple of minutes and my sister gets the nerve to turn the light on. He's gone. 2. We're living in a different house. We're about 11 and 8. We see the same guy. Same afro, same shirt. We scream, then turn the light on and he's gone. 3. I'm alone (an adult) and standing in the kitchen. Something has really upset me and I'm crying. I start to pray aloud to no one in particular. Three large angels are now standing behind me. I know the one in the middle by name (I'm writing a book about him, so I won't say his name). He has two angels with him, one at each side. They're the SHORTER ones and they're each about maybe 6'5". The one in the middle is about 5 good inches TALLER than these two. When his wings spread out, they're really huge and could probably completely envelope the other two angels. I know things are going to be OK. Here's something weird that happened to my mother. She said that when she was about 18, she and her first husband (who was her fiance at the time) broke up for a while and she was really emotional and tried to commit suicide. She swallowed a lot of pills. When she passed out, two angels grabbed her by the arms and took her to talk to someone (she thinks it was God). She couldn't see his face, only a light and his feet. He yelled at her and asked her what was wrong with her, why is she trying to kill herself, etc., etc., etc. One angel then slapped her really hard. The other angel started to choke her and she woke up vomiting. |

My mother also has this FREAKY PSYCHOTIC WEIRD THING that she does where she will visit a friend or a relative at their new residence. Basically, when a friend or family member moves, my mother will describe their home, what the yard looks like, how big the yard is, whether or not they have chairs on the front porch, if there's a fence, etc., etc. She will describe the front yard, the porch, and the living room, and sometimes the back yard. She's always correct in her description. It's really weird!! Nothing really "spiritual", but still weird. And if my mother gets really emotional and really depressed for about a couple of days, it usually means that someone in the family will either die or have a life-threatening injury within 2 or 3 weeks. HAPPENS EVERY TIME. |

Sorry, I wasn't clear: She describes the house BEFORE she visits it. |

There's a wealth of information out there on this subject, Misty. One book I frequently pick up and read chapters from is my copy of "Life After Death" by Deepak Chopra, an Indian physician and mystic. How he applies the principles of quantum physics to this subject is veeery interesting., the gist of this being that in this plane we are matter vibrating at a certain frequency and "death" is just a transistion wherein the energy that is our spirit shifts to the frequency of another dimension. In connection with this Choprah says that there is whole world around us that we cannot perceive because our brains cannot process what the eye sees. After my husband's death last year I could definitely feel his presence at night during which time my bed would seem to undulate and the sheets ripple as my body tingled all over. With the passage of time this phenomenon faded but I can still generate a less intense episode of it if I think about him. My children also report how their Daddy appears to them in their dreams, beaming and happy looking as if he is in the prime of his life. This is a common occurrence after the death of loved ones. My sister confided to me before she died how she received a phone call from our dead mother once when she was contemplating ending it all over the failure of her marriage. She claims how when she picked up her ringing phone, there was a lot of static before our mother's voice came through telling her everything would be OK before the line went dead. My sister said that after that a great calm came over her and she abandoned thoughts of suicide. |

cynique....that book on quantum physics and the afterlife is deep and i really would like to read it...ive heard something about the connection between the two before when i rented this video called "zip bam zoop" i think that was the name, it had a really wierd name and they kept discussing quantum physics and alternate universes in it...they kept saying there can be 6 and 7 possibilities that exist at one time and all of them can be right at the same time. we as human beings only know about one of them because our minds have been brainwashed to only think a certain way....if we actually used our entire brain we would be abl eto comprehend every single one of these alternate realities. one thing ive wondered is wonder why is it that in dreams there are some places you just KNOW that youve been to before and it feels like home to you (second nature) but then when you wake up you realize you've never been to those places before......reincarnation speaking? maybe? |

renata those experiences sound VERY scary.......i guess that's why God has never been THAT direct with me because he knows im extreemely scary and it would freak me out and probably drive me to the crazy house...seriously. they say he never gives us more than we can handle. yes ive had some very "wierd" things happen but its never where i see an actual spiritual being...i've seen alot of things move before but its good ive never seen the actual spirit before because i would completely freak out. now my dreams are another story i've actually seen some of my realatives who had crossed over to the other side in them....i've also wrestled with non-humans in them and it felt extreemely real (i call them non-humans because i dont know what they were)...one of them did have wings though...these dreams were in the past....i havent had them in months now but i use to ahve them very often. as far as being able ot see things (like predict the look of houses youve never seen before)....my dads cousin (who we talk to pretty often) she actually knows some people like that personally and shes actually seen them do it....like this one older lady all she has to do is throw salt in the fire and she can see parts of your past in the fire....she can also predict how places look that she's never been to. |
