I had to post about this, because ultimately it's about what black men (all men?) really think is beautiful. At the end I have a question for all
the gentlemen.
Your girl Kola Boof was "in studio" Tuesday night on the Keidi Awadu show in Los Angeles. There was Mr. Awadu and a crew of 3 other young black men in the studio with Kola for a 2 hour chat, but it was 95 degrees that day and the
air conditioning wasn't working.
Kola was complaining that the studio was so hot she was going to faint, so Mr. Awadu and his crew got a fan going and start giving her cold juice to drink.
Kola was wearing ankle-length leggings and took off her sandles and got on top of the "mic" desk and crossed her legs barefoot and when Mr. Awadu saw Kola's feet, he began raving on the air about what beautiful sexy "perfect" feet Kola Boof has.
He made Kola lift up her feet and he and his crew went on and on about her dainty "pretty feet".
That was Tuesday night and you'd think that Kola would be adored for her breasts, but since
that interview, ****and for the first time in her career*****, she's got like 100 email per every 12 hours from "Black Men" vowing their ultimate devotion and begging for pics of her pretty feet.
There has even been a very serious offer from Jerome Lund at Vaseline Lotion in Unilever Connecticut to use Ms. Boof's feet in print ads for black magazines!!!!!
Jerome Lund is a black man and Mr. Awadu's "internet radio show" plays all the way in London we found out.
Without even seeing Kola's feet, the volume of response has been SHOCKING.
Ladies, it's our feet that excite men. I don't know why, but it's just true.
Men don't want big bosoms as much as they want soft, dainty well groomed feet.
Go figure, because I'm totally miffed.
I do have a question for the men. WHY our feet?????
Did anyone see the Eddie Murphy "Boomerang" movie where he was crazy
for women's feet? Is this a racial thing
with only black men or is it all men?

BTW, P. Lewis just phoned in to tell me he just appeared on KPOO in San Francisco, hyping his wonderful "new" book NATE. He even read a passage from it. He also appeared with Floyd Salas, Kim Shuck, Karla Brundage and Reginald Lockett at BookPassage at the ferry building in downtown Frisco, at Alexander Books and Wild-About-Books in Clearlake, CA. Nafishy_Gummy, no sale. "The African Garbo" doesn't say shit about her or her writing; it's vague, and sounds as if it were pulled out of context(which might have been more negative or ridiculing). I can pull up more positive shit about me from the Village Voice. And I don't care for either rag, personally.

This has got to be one of the funniest topics EVER on Thumpers Corner.
First of all, I don't know how pretty Kola's feet really are however some men DO have fetishes with feet. Second of all - Mzuri, Shakes, and Nafisa all have me braying in laughter.

So that's what a bunion looks like? What the hell would cause that? Looks like the bone had been broken or out of joint at one time or another.
I doubt those would be Iman's feet. Those feet are HUGE, like abominable snowman huge. Maybe Rupaul has feet like that, or another MAN, but those can't be a woman's feet unless she's 7'4". |

so wheres the pictures of Kolas feet? I emailed that radio host and he sent me back: Kola's feet, neck, face everything was gorgeous! Beautiful sista in person.but with no pics, then I don't believe. freinds say anything nice about their friends. He could be lying or was PAID to say stuff.

BOSTON: Angel Laws, a 22-year-old college student in Jacksonville, North Carolina, merely wanted to poke fun at a celebrity. For the entry titled "Guess Who: Messed Up Feet Edition" on her gossip blog, Concrete Loop, Laws posted a photo of a pair of weathered bronze feet wrapped in strappy black sandals and hinted at the person's identity by commenting, "I guess all those years on the runway take a toll on the feet." Unfortunately for Laws, the owner of those feet, the model Iman, happens to read Concrete Loop.
Iman responded to the item on her MySpace page by uploading an image of herself and her husband, the rocker David Bowie, at the Metropolitan Museum of Art's recent Costume Institute gala. For this event, Iman wore a white pantsuit with white shoes. In the caption, Iman wrote, "Decided to cover my feet up as Concreteloop would post how ugly my feet are."
Welcome to the raucous world of black celebrity blogs. Sites such as Media Take Out (mediatakeout.com), Concrete Loop (concreteloop.com), and Young, Black and Fabulous (ybf.blogspot.com) are among the 10 most searched gossip blogs among Yahoo users, according to the Yahoo Buzz Index. They're joined by Crunk & Disorderly, Bossip, Cake and Ice Cream, and others, most of which have arrived in the past two years. The sites were created by gossip fans frustrated by the fact that their favorite mainstream gossip blogs - and magazines - seemed to limit their coverage to superstars such as Beyoncé, Halle Berry, or Will Smith, and paid little attention to celebrities such as Sanaa Lathan, Chris Brown, or Tracee Ellis Ross.
"I decided to do it myself because they were ignoring black people," said Natasha Eubanks, 25, of Washington, who started Young, Black and Fabulous in 2005, weeks before entering Loyola University law school in New Orleans. Before launching YB&F, Eubanks sent e-mails to the writers of sites such as Pink is the New Blog, which Eubanks occasionally links to, asking them to include more black celebrity items. She launched YB&F a few weeks before Hurricane Katrina hit and became more serious with it, by posting daily and even creating her own YB&F vocabulary, as her disenchantment with law school grew. It's now 10th on the Yahoo Buzz's gossip blog chart - and it's Eubanks's full-time job.
"What people don't realize is 'Girlfriends' is the most popular show for African-Americans," said Fred Mwangaguhunga, 32, of the CW sitcom about four female friends that stars Ross. A former corporate lawyer, Mwangaguhunga last year began Media Take Out, which is second only to Perez Hilton's gossip site, according to Yahoo Buzz. "You can look at Star magazine, In Touch, and you won't see any of the women in there."
That mentality seeps into the Internet community, he said, because "there's this idea, I think, that the mainstream has that black people don't go on the Internet, which is not true." In fact, a report released last month by Jupiter Research shows that African-Americans, who represent 11.4 percent of the Internet community, are the second largest minority online behind Latinos. African-Americans comprise almost 13 percent of the U.S. population.
Fans of the gossip sites can savor candid photos of the basketball star Carmelo Anthony cradling his newborn son or red carpet paparazzi shots that inspire bloggers to praise Ross for her fashion sense and deride her costar, Golden Brooks, for her worn appearances. Readers can peruse rumors about Usher and his fiancée, Tameka Foster, or read interviews with Ne-Yo, Fantasia, or Kelly Rowland. Concrete Loop recently offered five songs from R. Kelly's new CD days before its release, although the accompanying post railed against Kelly's continued popularity as he faces child pornography charges.
Omar Wasow, a technology analyst for NBC's "Today" show, believes these sites have arrived for several reasons. Blogs by Perez Hilton and others, he said, prove that a single person posting items can generate a livable income. For instance, Hilton, who gets almost two million unique visitors a day, reportedly makes a six-figure income. Additionally, said Wasow, black celebrities are becoming high-profile enough that they can move out of Jet magazine to a bigger marketplace. Previously, mainstream magazines rarely included even one African-American story. In Style magazine bucked this trend in its June issue by including features on Ciara, Kerry Washington, and Aisha Tyler.
Mainstream gossip blogs are getting the message as well. In April, the team behind Jossip launched Stereohype, a blog dedicated to black news and culture.
Alicia Canady, 25, of Dorchester, visits Eubanks's blog daily. "Her comments are funny," said Canady, "and I like the pictures." She also visits Concrete Loop and Media Take Out.
Mwangaguhunga's entrance into this world started in early 2006, when he launched a general interest blog on African-American news and culture. He quickly noticed that gossip stories received the most interest, so he tailored his focus. One recent example was a photo that allegedly showed Paris Hilton in a sexually compromising position with the rapper/singer Cee-Lo. A letter from Hilton's lawyers claimed the photo was altered and threatened to file a defamation lawsuit if the photo wasn't removed. Mwangaguhunga complied, but said during a recent interview, "There's this belief that once a celebrity"says it's not real, "people say, 'Oh no, it's not real.' With respect to that photo, I don't believe it's not real."
The controversy shows the role blogs play in the celebrity media world.
"In the mainstream media there is often a sense of propriety," said Wasow. "One of the things that the Internet offers is these outsider voices that can be much more critical and independent."
Laws, who began Concrete Loop in November 2005 as a solo effort, also offers original content with the help of contributors. Laws said she was the first to receive a sexually explicit photo of Ne-Yo and his female backup dancer - which arrived after rumors circulated that the singer/producer was gay. Laws said one of Ne-Yo's backup dancers sent the picture exclusively to her.
"People would be surprised where I get my information from," said Eubanks, who has debunked rumors of Beyoncé and Jay-Z breaking up by citing sources close to the stars. "Gossip is very smoke and mirrors. People will do anything for publicity."
