Akon Young Girl (April 20, 2007.) A video of Akon dancing provocatively with a young lady has begun making its way around the internet. But not is all fun and games in the video (shown below). MediaTakeOut.com has learned that the girl getting "freaked" in the video may only be 14 years old. And that's not all. MediaTakeOut.com spoke to a person claiming to be the child's guardian - and she's furious. According to the woman, the young girl was plucked from the audience by Akon's security and pushed up on stage. The woman explains, "When she went up [on stage], Akon started throwing her around like a doll ... and made all kinds of sexual gestures to her. Thats not for a grown man to do to a child." The lady continues, "The man could have killed her - you should have seen her when she [came] home. She was covered in bruises." The woman claims to have contacted the authorities in Trinidad, where the concert took place. No word on what, if any, other actions they plan on taking against Akon. ...Get this. Her father is supposed to be a preacher. Link to video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=smbeaVR8NPQ |

I've never seen a child dressed like that. I'm sure Akon probably never has, either. If he judged strictly by her outfit, he probably assumed she was well over 18. (Don't you also have to be 18 to get piercings?) Seriously, my mother would have a fit if I dressed like that at my CURRENT AGE. No lie. |

Well, the was located in Trinidad, so I really don't understand the rules over there. HOWEVER. How the hell she walked out the house like that is my guess. BUT...Even if the girl was over the age of 18 I would still have a problem with it. Factor in that on the video, she willingly walked on the stage, willingly danced in what they call "wuking" , WILLINGLY put herself into that situation, you find yourself in a conumdrum. Maybe its the fact of degradement, or exploitation. But something irkes me about the video. I can't help but find it disgusting. |

It's cultural for West Indians to dance and dress extremely provocative when partying. Americans have so many hang-ups ! Her mama was probably doing the same ting you know ? |

That's crazy! For adult women, not a big deal, but for FOURTEEN YEAR OLDS? That's just nuts. It seriously wouldn't bother me AT ALL if she were an adult. I'm more disgusted that her mother let her leave the house dressed like that. Mama should have gone alone or taken a friend. (and if she went with her and let her daughter dress like that, she's probably pissed that he didn't call HER on stage instead). |

Seriously doubt this chick is 14. Please. And Jackie is right, West Indians have a totally different way of dressing and dancing, when partying. Anybody ever heard of Carnival? Carnival, around here, is live! I have some family members that participate in this event (every year). And her "mama" is most likely doing the same "ting", too. I would put money on it. btw, I couldn't help but to take notice of the cross hanging from this sweet thing's neck. LMAO!!!!!!!!!!!

And Jackie is right, West Indians have a totally different way of dressing and dancing, when partying. (Racism and bigotry. All West Indians are not carnal savages, swayin' to da music wit' a spliff. This is like saying all white women are drunk and exposing their breasts from a Girls Gone Wild Video. Re the girl her daddy may have put her on Akon. |

Chrissy, Just like there are white women that ARE drunks who expose their breasts like a Girls Gone Wild Video, there ARE black/brown West Indian women who DO dress and dance provocatively (when partying). And I never used the word "carnal savages" --those are your words. A Freudian slip, maybe?! Hahahahah! You're such a tool! Nonetheless, I simply wrote their way of partying is different --because it is. And just because you're either out of touch with the reality of ONE West Indian sub-culture, you're in complete denial, and/or you're not being honest with yourself, does not mean what I've wrote is a form of racism or bigotry.
