Wooo.....is it still SNOWING up there? IN APRIL? I am so glad I decided not to move there. We haven't worn coats or even heavy jackets in Georgia since at least mid December. As a matter of fact, I personally haven't worn a coat since maybe 2 years ago. Usually a long sleeve top and a heavy sweater is warm enough on even the coldest days. (Cold for me means I have to wear socks...which I HATE) |

"Sometimes it snows in April..." And as Prince said, it has snowed a few days already this month here in the Twin Cities. This AM on my walk to work from the parking garage I almost busted my butt slipping on a patch of ice--with a full cup of hot coffee, too. I tell you what: Had my backside hit the sidewalk, I would have gotten up and calmly walked back to my car to go home! WHERE IS SPRING?! |

Here in Chicagoland, we're waiting for the promised thaw to melt the thin blanket of snow covering our green grass and killing our early blooming flowers. "Whether it's cold, or whether it's hot, we're going to have weather, whether or not!" Lotsa luck on your job interview, SS. There is a Benigans restaurant in Chicago's down town "loop" area that serves reasonably priced decent food. |

Serena, if you want to see proud black people, you should visit Atlanta. BTW, I may want to visit Chicago this summer or next summer. If you try any Jamaican or Ethiopian food while you're there, let me know if it's good. Actually, anyone who's in Chicago can tell me what it's like. |
