It is very interesting as part of my degree examines and it would be refreshing to hear 'real' responses to things like this as opposed to statistics. |

This is what happens in a society and civilization in decline. Get ready. This is only the beginning. One day we shall see 6 year old street walkers and the like. Lots of rich and powerful people want them (Look at Michael Jackson and his little boys) and lots of parents are ready to sell their kids. |

Latina_wi, What you've present really is a BIG problem. Companies are capitalizing on the natural desire of younger girls to look/act order. This in/of itself is not nessarily an evil thing. Unfortunately though, more and more younger girls are ACTING OUT the tone/message their clothing seem to suggests. This skeezer kid clothing thing has become so perversive that when my wife and I shop for clothing for our youngest daughter, we OFTEN must buy oversized clothing so that parts of her are (e.g., midrift) adequately covered. And, thankfully, our kid's school has become especially atuned to this problem and have even began to cite and even fine the parents of students who dress and behave in sexually inappropriate ways. If these kinds of measures were taken on larger, broader scale, perhaps the problem could be reversed (some). |

ABM, you are not telling a tale. We have the same problem with our daughters--in fact, we began noticing this trend even when they were still in toddler sizes!!! So far school is not a problem (uniforms) but I know it is going to be a battle as they get older and notice what some of their friends wear outside of school. |
