Ha-ha. See, this is a good example of hype. They promoting this like Beyonce wrote it all her damn self. But isn't it fraudulent that, out of the other singer songwriters in this movie, Beyonce is the only one who gets to push an original song?? Could it be because daddy Joe Jackson is one of the executive producers on the DG soundtrack??

When I saw his name on the cd jacket I was like "give me a break". He ain't a producer!! Do her momma and daddy have to bogard their way in on every project she's on? She's going to get a bad reputation with the people in the industry. It still seems like they're shelfing Jhud's song to push Beyonce's mediocre squealing's. And the one thing I did notice about Listen. It's an anachronism. The song is out of time and place in that movie and it's obvious they just threw it in for her. Has anybody heard AIATY on the radio yet? It's probably going to take her winning the damn Oscar before they play it. I'm a start a petition to have people sign who want Jhuds remake played on the radio.

Beyonce Not Eligible For Best Original Song Oscar
BURBANK, Calif. (January 3, 2007) -- Oscar nominations are weeks away, but "Dreamgirls" star Beyonce Knowles is already facing a shut out in the Best Original Song category.

Though the former Destiny's Child frontwoman is credited on "Listen," a new song which was written specifically for the movie version of "Dreamgirls', there are too many co-writers for all of them to qualify for a statue. According to the Oscars rules, only two people are "normally" given statues in the category. A third can only get a statue if the organization's committee deems them an equal contributor.

Henry Krieger, Anne Preven and Scott Cutler are the three that the Oscar songwriting branch have declared eligible for "Listen," The Academy has confirmed to Access Hollywood.

But it may not even matter to the star. The Golden Globes had no problem counting Beyonce in. She and the other three writers are all nominated for a Golden Globe for Best Original Song. She's also nominated for Best Actress in a Comedy or Musical for her role as Deena Jones.

Oscar nominations are announced on January 23rd.

Poor Beyonce I just knew that was going to be her Oscar since Jennifer is getting one. I guess it will be Jennfier's night but Beyonce will sing the song.
