Did anybody see the Katie Couric interview with Jason Blair on NBC last night? She really raked him over the coals. He sucked it all in and confessed to all of his sins. But, actually, I thought there were some things he could've challenged her about. She was a little bit too abrasive for me, too judgmental. | ||

Whassup, Lambd? Katie Couric's interview with Jayson Blair aired last Friday night and I don't know that it will be shown again. As I said, she really took it to him, calling him an obnoxious jerk and a pathological liar. I thought Katie could've been a little more objective and professionial in her interviewing. Instead, she proceeded to sneer and hurl insults at him. On the other hand, Jayson came across as a pathetic wimp who wouldn't at least call it to her attention that his superiors were also to blame for what happened. At the end of the interview it was mentioned that Blair is currently under treatment for a mental illness and he did inform Katie that he started abusing drugs during the time he worked at the NY Times. And yes, I see I am now a goldmember! I don't ask questions, I just have fun. | ||

I saw that Katie/Jason interview and having been a journalist myself for a midwestern daily, I wanted to shake Jason and other times I wanted to pat him on the shoulder in sympathy. I am glad that he is being treated for his mental illness. I feel sorry for him, but to me he often came across as, "Yeah, I did this and I lied about that and I'm really sorry, but I plan to make money off my book that tells about my lies." Katie was her usual sneering indignant white woman self and from time to time I wanted to smack her, or hoped that Jason would. Maybe I'm just getting old and grouchy. | ||

I have never trusted Katie Couric. I don't trust anybody with three times the number of teeth the average person has--and you can see them all, every time this little weasel cheeses. Goldmember. Wasn't that a James Bond villain? | ||

Gold FINGER was the James Bond villain, Chris. Mike Myers' nemesis in an Austin Powers movie was Gold MEMBER, a name I am very proud to be associated with, thank you very much, because I found this picture to be hilarious. (So was your description of bitch queen Katie, who not only has a lot of teeth, but a lot of gums.) Lambd, you naughty boy! You're giving me a gold rush. |
