Yabba dabba, its the backstabba. Smilin' in my face. Hatin' on my race. Trippin' in my space. Knottin' my shoe lace. Whenever my attention is averted. He'll twist the situation, then pervert it. Spoil my lunch and still serve it. Tell his story straight and then curve it. Make like he's a friend and then... Stab me in the back again...and again. One time, shame on you. Two times, shame on me. Don't let him get to three. Once you were blind, but now you should see. The backstabber aint who he pretends to be. All the while, like a homeless chile. He's smilin', and hatin', slippin', dippin' and trippin'. Tryin' to get in where he can fit in. If he can get his foot in, he can get his hip in. If he can get his hip in, he's bout to stick that knife in...Yo back. So keep track, Bro. Keep your eyes on yo' fries and keep yo chin up before you get your chin checked.

Hiya again, Lambd. Do you know that reading your thoughts always makes me wanna freestyle? :-) Thank you. (Freestyling again) I thought you were my friend Why you wanna do that, Man? Why you wanna lie? Yep, sometimes I cry But I will never let you see And it really hurt me The most because I, as your friend, Would never do certain things to you And simply because I am your friend But that was then. I have not buried you in my heart yet But know that I am mentally having your wake Might not be in a week's time, But trust me there is a part of my beingness Of which you can never again partake I am not speaking as your lover I am speaking as your friend I'm like 5'3 Now you tell me What about this petite woman Makes a man such as yourself Turn into such a coward? You ain't gotta answer But just know that I am hurt And not for the reasons you might think Honestly As I've said, this is really because we had a friendship Or atleast I thought we did Like 8 years of being dear to each other And you mean to say That your grown behind still got a few games to play? lol It's okay Such is human behavior So that doesn't really matter What "did" however matter to me Is (as I keep saying) that there was something about us called "friendship" Why you feel you gotta lie to kick it With your friend is totally beyond me But you know what, The ironic thing Is that if I said I didn't know better, I would be lying, see Spirit tells me stuff way before anything ever goes down So that's not really the problem The problem is You didn't come straight with me And you really should have But then again you did exactly what you were supposed to do Because if it wasn't supposed to go down that way, it wouldn't have But in the meantime, I'll hold no grudge As Nina said But I will never, ever forget And while I will be your associate, The possibility of me ever again being your friend is simply dead.

Deep? Nah, Bro Not hardly But is cool, sun is shinin' like Marley What is deep to me Is that the deep ain't really deep It's just that the average really=below average And by far And so even the highest standards Are not up to par People considered genuises Walkin' roun' here not even knowing who they are Now "that's" deep But anyway, Lambd, You know I'm just over here freestylin' I'm feeling to dance Wanna dance with me Oh I don't mean to go on so, It's just that poetry puts me in a trance ya see And it's like I can't stop Be like Roy Ayers "Don't stop, don't stop 'da feelin'" Ha. What'chew know'bout dat? You young folk, I tell 'ya. hehe Anyway, how you doing today? What's going on there around your way? As for here, it is getting COLD down here in G.A. Anyway I'll stop now Before I never do Walk in balance, much joy to you... |

Cynique, I really used to flow like that back in ma highschool dayz. (getting my cane out.. lol) The thing is, though, Poetry became more and more dear to me until I kind of just started mixing the two a little too much.lol After a minute, darn near every rhyme I tried to write ended up being a poem/spoken word piece. lol So now I basically leave the rappin' alone but I can still do a lil' summin'. You? |

Me? Rap? No. Sorry. I'm not "right-brained" enough to do it. LOL But I am fascinated by how easily young kids can free style. And I'm convinced Rap could be an effective learning tool. |

Beautifulwaterstar, Whereever you are, Whoever you are, Whoever or whatever you want to be, You bring out the genius in me. I hold my breath as I wait to see. What lyrical, whimsical verses and rhymes Will force a smile from these days and times. Will bring forth laughter as my heart climbs. Will inspire a fly-er and cooler Lambd. Will bring out poets the likes of "NIQUE-C". Make a brother think like Nikki-G. Rhythm me something nice to set me on way. Give me something worth repeating today. Whatever you tell me, I will say. Be my floetic lean queen and I, my dear, will be your mean king. |
