So plan to do something. Write a poem! Buy or read a poetry book! Support a poet! Listen to a CD of poems! Look up some poetry on the web! Go to a poetry reading! Go to an open mike! Take a poetry tour or survey of your town or community! Go buy your town or community poet and drink and have him/her do a poem. Organize or perform a poetry reading, even if it's nobody but you and some friends around a table at McDonald's! Put in some poetry work! | ||

Roses are red but, what if instead, their color also meant more books were read. Violets are blue, but this might be true because they've never learned anything new. Sugar is sweet but wouldn't it be neat if it broaden its taste to make literacy a treat. And what words would best describe our own Chris Hayden?
