Physical attraction and chemistry is very important to me. It would be extremely difficult for me to get into bed every night and make love/have sex to/with a man I don't think is handsome--or even slightly appealing. I think being married to a FIONE man who earns a "good living" is far better than being the wife of an unattractive billionaire. |

I'm in the minority. Some of my closet girlfriends have dated very prominent men--ugly, wealthy, prominent men. I just don't make the connection. Especially when they can have both. Sure, they may not be AS wealthy, but it's not like they'd be struggling either--and they'd be waking up to heaven every morning.

I haven't seen Flava for awhile but he can't be but so bad.
I've seen a helluva lot worse; only I don't know their names because I don't keep track of white skinned people.

I neeeever loved Michael Jackson, infact, Dobes, I was the ONLY person I knew or heard of who was disgusted with MJ when he FIRST started turning himself white... way back when. I remember I'd be AT WORK like, "y'all muthafuckers don't see shit wrong with Michael Jackson!?!" ....I almost got suspended because of that shit. Nobody saw anything wrong with mike back then, white or black. Which frustrated the hell out of me. Anyway, no. I was never a fan of Mike. (Except for the video he did with Eddie Murphy & Iman. Those dance steps were off the hook! That video was all that.) As for flava, I can't get with his personality. As a friend he'd be cool but I like my guys a little more subdued, layed back. |

I didn't like him that much myself. I was more into Emmanuel Lewis. I had the biggest crush on him. But I was close to his height at that time. |

I loved Michael Jackson's "Off the Wall" and "Thriller", but I was never ever attracted to him, because he was too girly. I thought he was gay (or should be).
Ditto Prince--who seemed "funky" (stinky), truly homosexual and just not nice (as in...a "bitch"). But I loved Prince's music and had all his albums. I actually liked Prince's music better than Michael's. I think Prince is more of a genius, whereas Michael is a "marketing" whiz.
I was attracted to MC Hammer, the lead guy in KOOL & The Gang, LL Cool J, Tupac Shakur, Jeffrey Osborne.

There is no "age group" with me, because I was into music of all genres and all decades throughout my teens and twenties.
Has anyone else experienced this?
I love 1960's Motown, especially girl groups--and anything by Dionne Warwick in the 1960's is pure magic.
I became hooked on music of the 1940's and 50's and would play Rick James right alongside Chuck Berry and Nat King Cole.
I always wanted to have sex with Chuck Berry.
My favorite male singer of all time is Al Green.

I'm about the same age as Michael Jackson and so I grew up listening to the Jackson 5 on the radio and my dad used to buy me their LPs. Back in the olden days, there were no other young Black entertainers like there are now so it wasn't as if I had much of a choice. It was either the Jackson 5 or the Osmond Brothers.
As I got older I thought Michael was so cool but I lost interest in him about the time that his hair caught fire while he was filming a Pepsi commercial. For those of you who don't remember, he was dancing around some pyrotechnics and his hair caught on fire and he was injured with burns to his scalp and that's when he started with the plastic surgeries.
Anyway, I like all types of music but my favorites are jazz, R&B and funk. Miles Davis, Najee, Grover Washington, Stanley Clarke, Chaka Khan, Anita Baker, Luther, James Brown, Johnny Guitar Watson, Barry White, Freddie Jackson, Bobby Bland, BB King, Quincy Jones, Marvin Gaye, Minnie Ripperton, Smokey, etc. and of course Miss Billie Holiday - just to name a few. All that old classic stuff that never goes out of fashion and that when you hear it, it cheers you up and makes you want to get up and dance around the room. And it brings back memories. 50 Cent and all of that is okay, but I don't think it will stand the test of time - nobody's going to be listening to Fiddy twenty years from now.

I wasn't old enough to buy mike's most famous CDs/records but I remember the "thriller" video, the "bad" video, the one with him walking on the checkered floor as each block lit up... in fact... I think I remember All of his videos. And, how can I forget his album covers??? My sister had EACH AND EVERY ONE of them bad boys taped to her bedroom walls! Now SHE had it bad for MJ! LOL
