Serenasailor wrote: Ntfs_Encryption you have got to be one of the most ignorant niggers I have ever heard in my life. You are probably some stupid white man posing as black to try to insult black ppl. ### When I first read this mindless racist drivel, I laughed and dismissed it. But later, I was searching for a particular post and I came across it again. When I read it for the second time, it finally hit me, this boy is serious! He really believes this nonsense! That is when I decided to respond. I thought about responding in the most offensive way, using the same simple minded language and unwarranted hostility you spewed. But then I thought, no, don’t do that. You would be lowering yourself to the same fatuous ranting level of Serenasailor. Instead, just make your point and move on. First of all, I can tell just by the language you used that you are a lot younger than I am. Why is that important or how would I know that? Your immediate usage of the “n” word in your first sentence was the first clue. Nothing is more sad and inexcusable than a black person calling another black person the “n” word. There currently is a misguided tragic celebration (post 1970 generation) of this destructive word that was created and used by racists to relegate black people to sub-human status. What is more troubling is the fact that after generations of being denigrated and trashed with this racist ugly epitaph, we now have confused and ignorant blacks like Serenasailor who gleefully and arrogantly spew the same word that was used (and still is) to degrade his parents, grandparents and race as a whole. He has mindlessly adopted the “Stockholm Syndrome” by subconsciously identifying with his oppressors by degrading other blacks he politically disagrees with by calling them a name that historically has been used to degrade his race (and himself). But sadly, he does not see it that way. He is too rapped up in his juvenile macho street gangsta mindset of “keepin’ it real and dissing all the punk ass niggas who don’t think like me”. And yes, I’m very familiar with the 10 brain cell argument and the embarrassingly stupid rationalization to the “er” and “a” endings. It doesn’t matter. It’s just another cheap unsuccessful attempt at justifying inexcusable and unnecessary behavior. When was the last time you heard someone Jewish calling another person who is Jewish, a “kike”? Or how about Latinos constantly and openly referring to other Latinos as “greasers”, “spics”, “beaners” and “taco heads”? You don’t. Just like you don’t hear Asians referring to other Asians they disagree with as “chinks” or “gooks”. But historically ignorant blacks like Serenasailor take immense pride and tragic arrogance in calling other black people he disagrees with “niggers”. “People name their children according to their own experiences. People should have the right to name their kids whatever the hell they want. So what if these names don't meet to white American Standards”. ### Sigh….you just don’t get it do you? This is not an issue of “legality”. It is not a debate of whether a person has the legal right to do anything. You can wear the same pair of underwear for a week if you want. It’s totally legal and you have a right to do so if you choose. But would you want to? Giving your children meaningless childish names and stigmatizing them for life is not a question of having a “right to do so”. Do you fully understand the consequences of labeling your children with the most obviously ghettoized and meaningless labels? You obviously did not fully read my post before launching into a frothing aphasiac rant. I have no problems with someone giving their children exotic names. As I stated, there are many beautiful African, Arabic and other unusual names (European and non-European) that have history and meaning. No, you don’t have to name your children Sally, Mary, John or Dick if you feel such names are too conventional, stale or boring. But to give them names like LaNique, Trevonne and Lisisa-Chanel (yes –a woman actually named her daughter that) is taking the word ignorant to a new level! It’s the same mindset that an impoverished pregnant 15 year old girl living in the projects uses when discussing a name for her baby with her teenage girl friends! But of course Serenasailor sees this as exercising their “rights” and “creativity”. And his reference to not meeting white American standards is as relevant as an air conditioner in the Antarctic. And contrary to his inane assertion, the possible sources for exotic names I mentioned where not “white American standards”! “Its niggers like you that run around trying to assimilate with whites hoping to be accepted. Why don't you take your sell-out, house-negger, Bill Cosby worshipping ass back to that lily-white community that you think……. assimilate with are calling you all kinds of niggers behind your back” ### Ha! Ha! Ha! This is the part where I really started laughing uncontrollably. There is not much to say here. I think this racist and woefully pathetic rant speaks for itself. It is very plane to see that Serenasailor’s argument is no more than the predictable histronics that simple minded self anointed delusionary wannabe black-ologists use to attack those they don’t agree with. It goes like this; “Since I am incapable of presenting a civil and compelling argument without name calling and racist innuendos, I’ll play the race card and call the person(s) I don’t agree with niggers, sell outs, uncle toms, etc. That way I don’t have to present any facts, researched references, submit a convincing argument and most of all, demonstrate intelligence.” Just “…..rant, rant, nigger, rant, sell out, rant, nigger, rant….! That’s it. And I win!” Just like in that Staples commercial on TV, push the “Easy” button. There ya have it! Black ppl and white ppl are different! We have a different culture. White ppl name their children according to their culture and black ppl according to theirs. ### More erroneous emotional drivel. First of all, those ignorant childish names that you hysterically defend HAVE NOTHING TO DO WITH BLACK CULTURE NOR BLACK PEOPLE AS A HISTORY! American blacks and whites are more alike than they are different. The overwhelming majority of black Americans want decent paying jobs, good education for their children, home ownership, they like to shop for nice clothes, they like to take vacations, the majority come from Christian backgrounds, they believe in Jesus and God, the bible, they go to church, celebrate Christmas, Thanksgiving, Valentines day, Mothers Day, Easter, Fourth of July and New Years Day, they love football, basketball, baseball, they like movies, DVD’s, Ipods, computers, they eat chicken, spaghetti, pasta, burritos, pork chops, pies, cakes, beef, hamburgers, they like SUV’s, Hummers, Mercedes Benz’s, BMW’s and video games, etc, etc ,etc….. THE EXACT SAME THINGS WHITE AMERICANS DESIRE, ENJOY AND DO!! Of course there are differences just as there are differences between whites who grow up in the Silicon Valley and those who grow up in the hills of West Virginia. But those differences are MINOR when compared to the “overall similarities”. You seem to suggest the cultural differences are extreme as comparing the culture of Tibet to that of the Scottish! And your ridiculous statement of declaring blacks name their children according to “black culture” is a sad testament to your grotesque historical and social ignorance. This phenomena of naming children Latishia and Trevonne just happened in the last thirty years. Black people have been an integral part of American history since the 1600’s! Think not? Just ask your parents or grand parents if they knew “anyone in their generation” who had any of the ghettoized names (Latishia, Trevonne, Mo’Nique, Chanique, Televar, et al) you so arrogantly defend! Duke Ellington, Bessie Smith, James Weldon Johnson, Malcolm X, Dorothy Height, W.E.B. Dubois, Paul Robeson and A. Philip Randolph represented and extolled the virtues and aspirations black culture. Not those misguided Negroes (like you) who make up and defend silly meaningless names! Stop getting mad at black ppl because they don't all strive to be house niggers like you. SHAME ON YOU!! ### Strive to be “house niggers” like me? The appalling level of raw ignorance and pathetic racist name calling and personal attacks speaks for itself. No need to comment on such desperate race baiting juvenile trash talking. E’nuff said.

First of all, naming our children Latisha, Trevonne, and Shaniqua are the least of our problems in the black community. I think A.I.D.S, a poor education system, drugs, welfare, and racism are the real issues. Secondly, I called you a nigger because you have a" nigger mentality". The "nigger syndrome" is taken from self-hating blacks that sit around and criticize every little trivial thing in the black community because it does not "jive" with the dominant culture. Niggers sit around and judge blacks who they do not understand because they are looking at their fellow blacks through the eyes of their slave master. They are the ones like Bill Cosby, Larry Elder, and Ward Connerly who put down fellow blacks because they are making them look bad. Interestly, one of Bill Cosby's comments was " You name you kids Shaniqua, Taliqua, and Mohammed and all of that crap". These names are just what they are and that is NAMES!! African American people have an interesting culture, because it is different than any other. The things that African Americans in this country do are modes of survival. The way we act, think, walk, talk and yes even name our children are all direct results of black people trying to survive in a country that has robbed them of their heritage. I am appalled at African Americans like you sit back and point fingers at other African Americans(the same way white ppl point their ignorant fingers at black ppl) and label anything that they do not understand as " stupid, inferior, and ghetto". I am defending African Americans who do not have the money and resources to stand up to Pseudo-intellectuals like you who claim to be experts on what are all the remedies for the problems facing African Americans today. Why don't you take your "intellectualism" and use it for something good. Instead of meaningless names in the African American community. Use it for more important issues such as health care problems facing the African American community. |

First of all, naming our children Latisha, Trevonne, and Shaniqua are the least of our problems in the black community. I think A.I.D.S, a poor education system, drugs, welfare, and racism are the real issues. ### Thank you. This is something you and I can definitely agree on. I do not think silly names are a priority when listing the top ten pathologies within the black community. I was just giving an “opinion” about it. But the abysmal state of the underclass can only be addressed and dealt with by blacks and blacks alone. White people nor the government can address the problems of spiraling illegitimacy and fatherless families, the corrosive influence of vulgar and violent videos/music on young blacks, the celebration of a misogynist pimp mentality that is destructive and disrespectful to black women, spread of AIDS via unprotected sex and “down low” lifestyles by black men, senseless black on black violence, etc, etc. Black people and black people alone can only curve or halt this destructive behavior –not white people! Secondly, I called you a nigger because you have a" nigger mentality". The "nigger syndrome" is taken from self-hating blacks that sit around and criticize every little trivial thing in the black community because it does not "jive" with the dominant culture. ### Sigh….well….here we go again. Your usage of the “n” word is still unwarranted and unnecessary regardless of any type of mentality you abhor. As I stated before, your rhetoric characteristic of a confused young black man who is too caught up in the politics of “rage”. A feeble misguided attempt at “out blacking” another person rather than researching and understanding the real problems facing black Americans. But to be fair to you, I can understand how you think because your words are very similar to the ones I used when I was young. The essays and commentaries I wrote as a young man in college were laden with same politics of rage. Like you, I was immersed into the “attack” mentality and personal attacks (only worse) against anyone I did not agree with. So once again, I understand your youthful misguided thinking. As far as your comment about “…from self-hating blacks that sit around and criticize every little trivial thing in the black community…”, it is very obvious your naïve intolerance for political diversity and difference of opinion is symptomatic of immaturity and lack of developmental political sophistication. How did you come to the conclusion that I “hate myself” based on a posting that you did not agree with? And hate myself for what reason? Because “you” say so? Because we disagree? How does disagreeing with someone translate into “hating” ones self??? Just exactly how does that work? And how does anyone who condemns poor and inexcusable black behavior translate into hating themselves??? Please answer this question. If you disagree with someone, fine. I have no problems with that. STAY ON POINT MINUS THE PERSONAL ATTACKS AND DEATE THE ISSUES OF POLITICAL OR SOCIAL DISAGREEMENT. LEAVE THE PYSCHO-ANALYSIS TO PROFESSIONALS AND PEOPLE WHO ARE TRAINED IN MENTAL HEALTH! Niggers sit around and judge blacks who they do not understand because they are looking at their fellow blacks through the eyes of their slave master. ### This is more tired and boring unoriginal wannabe black nationalistic rhetoric. As I stated before, I can see that you are young, misguided and have not developed an original and well thought out analysis of race issues. Your comments are those of the late 60’s and early 70’s (I would know –I was there and I used the same language). Because a black person speaks against vulgar gangsta rap, violent street gangs, proliferating illegitimacy, broken homes, rampant drug addiction and trafficking, self imposed illiteracy and ignorance, profane and obnoxious behavior, zero respect of elders, failing to take advantage of available educational and employment opportunities, blaming other people for the failures in ones life as a result of poor personal choices, wallowing in the mentality of victimization, refusing to make short term sacrifices for long term goals, not respecting your heritage and history, degrading other blacks by calling them “niggers” publicly because you don’t like them, etc, etc, etc,.., this somehow in your mind translates into “looking at their fellow blacks through the eyes of their slave master”! My God man! What world do you live in? Is the sky blue? All of the aforementioned are the vary things that W.E. B. Dubois, Paul Robeson, Martin Luther King, Benjamin O. Davis Jr and Thurgood Marshal fought against. These people worked hard and tirelessly all their lives to project and establish an image of blacks that was equal if not better than the racists who sought to reduce black people to a class of subhumans, incapable of definitive moral and intellectual abilities. You really need to do some serious reading and research in American history. Your comments reflect an appalling degree of ignorance and naivety. They are the ones like Bill Cosby, Larry Elder, and Ward Connerly who put down fellow blacks because they are making them look bad. ### First of all, the blacks they refer to DO NOT MAKE THEM (AS INDIVIDUALS) LOOK BAD! The irresponsible and reckless behavior they condemn makes “all” black people look bad! But in fairness to you, I do share your consternation with Larry Elders and Ward Connerly. Elder’s message is a good one. Work hard, respect others, stay away from destructive life styles (i.e. drugs, gangs, unprotected sex, etc) and set serious goals in ones life. There is nothing wrong with such advocation. But the problem I have with Elders is that he speaks to a “white audience”. He tells them what they want to hear. He tells them of all the pathological and self defeating behavior of blacks (which unfortunately is all true). This is why he is so popular. But he really has no real message for the very blacks that he passionately criticizes. By that, I mean Larry Elders has no meaningful relationship with the black community. His rhetoric is shrill and distant. He does not speak in a meaningful and encouraging manner to troubled blacks. He says things to endear white conservatives by constantly railing against poor people and black people. But I disagree with him for reasons that are probably different from yours. I have no problems with his pointing out the problems of the black underclass (something you violently oppose) but he never criticizes the destructiveness and immoral practices of big business (i.e. Walmart, Enron, et al), racism, police brutality, racial profiling, discrimination, the ignorance and narrow mindedness of white conservatives, inequities in the judicial system, etc. He never challenges nor critically questions the aforementioned. NEVER! As far as Ward Connerly is concerned, it gets worse. This is a 60 plus year old black man who refuses to recognize nor raise one question about the history of racism in America. To be honest, I find Connerly to be offensive with his slavish shameless infatuation with white conservatives. He grew up in a white community in California where he was adopted as a pet and never faced the onslaught of racial violence and discrimination as other blacks of his generation. But even though he did not face the wrath of white racism, HE ABSOLUTLY REFUSES TO ACCEPT THE FACT IT EXISTED. Total denial and disassociation from anything black or anything that concerned the fight his race was waging for equal citizenship and treatment under the law is something he is steadfast in doing. Again, such a black man is pathetic and offensive to me. His obsession with eliminating affirmative action and diversity programs that a generation of blacks have rightfully benefited from (yes –I said rightfully because whites and black critics of affirmative action show total indifference and ignorance to a history of ongoing white “affirmative action”) seems to be unnatural. Interestly, one of Bill Cosby's comments was " You name you kids Shaniqua, Taliqua, and Mohammed and all of that crap". These names are just what they are and that is NAMES!! ### No, not quite. The consequences and long term affects transcend “just names”. We can be civil and agree to disagree about this one and move on. And your criticism of Bill Cosby is unwarranted. This man has done many, many things for black people. He puts his money where his mouth is. You may disagree with the comments he made about the black underclass but you cannot undermine nor erase his contributions and philanthropy for his people. All the carping about his personal life and those comments do not and cannot invalidate what he as done for black people. Sorry. And I never criticized the name “Mohammed. That is a very old and honorable name. It is real. Shameka and Taneeka is not! African American people have an interesting culture, because it is different than any other. ### Really? OK….name five things that are totally different and unlike any other culture in the world. Just curious… The things that African Americans in this country do are modes of survival. ### Does that not apply to every other race, oppressed class or ethnic groups that are subjected to socially harsh or adverse political conditions? All races and ethnicities have a history of resilience and resistance to adversity. No group has exclusive rights to human adaptation and survival. The way we act, think, walk, talk and yes even name our children are all direct results of black people trying to survive in a country that has robbed them of their heritage. ### That’s silly. Giving children inane names has absolutely nothing to do with survival, heritage or anything else. Black people were subjected to extreme discrimination, legal segregation and racist violence since they came to America. These ridiculous names you so arrogantly defend did not exist prior to 1970. Prior to and during the 20’s, 30’s, 40’s and 50’s when racism and white racist violence was at an all time high, you cannot produce one black person who had a name like Sheenque, Dramel or Liasia-Chanel! SUCH SILLINESS DID NOT EXIST! What are your grand parents names? Your parents names? Or how about finding a year book from an all black college or an all high school from 1965 and listing all the names of the students. TELL ME HOW MANY GHETTOIZED SILLY MADE UP NAMES YOU WILL SEE! Again, you need to do some serious history reading son. I am appalled at African Americans like you sit back and point fingers………….and label anything that they do not understand as " stupid, inferior, and ghetto". ### Groan….geeeezzzzzz. You are very naïve and lack a serious understanding of black history and a posses an underdeveloped sense of socio-political sophistication. Such sophomoric drivel and finger pointing is a sure sign of an inexperienced youth and a lack of intellectual maturity. I going to pass on this one……. I am defending African Americans who do not have the money and resources to stand up to Pseudo-intellectuals like you who claim to be experts on what are all the remedies for the problems facing African Americans today. ### Money nor resources to stand up to what? I am not depriving anyone of their rights or ability to do anything. As I have been telling you since our first heated discussion, just because you do not agree with what another black person is saying, why does that threaten you so? Why do you hysterically attack and condemn people for not believing what you believe? Why must they be wrong and you be right? What proof do you have? I certainly don’t agree with everything Thomas Sowell, Armstrong Williams, Star Parker or Ken Hamblin says, but I don’t call them “uncle Toms”, “niggers” or “race traitors”. As much as I dislike Clarence Thomas, I don’t go to the race card. I just point out the fact that as a black man, his complete disregard and contemptuous attitude to the achievements of Thurgood Marshal (a man morally dedicated his life to protecting rights of those who had no voice or representation), a man whom he was picked to replace, is sickening. For example, his aversion to affirmative action is a joke. Being that he is the poster boy for affirmative action and benefited from it, I find it so ironic. IF HE WAS A WHITE MAN HE WOULD HAVE NEVER UNDER ANY CONDTIONS BEEN SERIOUSLY NOMINATED FOR THE SUPREME COURT! Yet he has shamelessly dedicated his life and powers as a supreme court justice to eliminating it. Just as he has graciously embraces the approval of white conservatives who have an undeniable history of brazen hostility towards blacks (and anyone else who does not share their narrow minded agendas). And I never claimed to be an expert on the remedies of the black underclass. Where did I say that? Why don't you take your "intellectualism" and use it for something good. ### I’m not sure where this “intellectualism” accusation comes from because I never claimed to be one nor do I feel the “intellectualism” has anything to do with our disagreement. Being that you know nothing about what I do or my personal history, what would you suggest I do? What do you do? Instead of meaningless names in the African American community. Use it for more important issues such as health care problems facing the African American community. ### Uhhhhh….well, for the record, I do think that health issues and medical care is a serious problem. It affects not only black people but everyone else. The state of health care for the uninsured is in an abysmal state. It’s appalling that the wealthiest and most affluent country in the world refuses to honestly and seriously address the problems of heath care and affordable medication. And the Bush administration is bent on enhancing the profits of HMO’s, pharmaceutical companies, business health plans and insurance companies at the detriment to the elderly, middle class, working class and poor people. This is something we can certainly agree with. E’nuff said.
