I dont see for the life in me how African Americans can claim not to be Africans. I just dont get that one but I will not vote for Obama because the first black to hold office should be an African American and he doesn't know the first thing about running a country or being a president. He does not have any clue about black life in this country either because of his upbringing. Something about his wife just doesnt look right when they're together. It could be they're too young for this. She doesnt look like a President's wife.

I think were Obama elected president in 2008 he'd probably be around the same age as Pres. Clinton and Pres. Kennedy. Kennedy probably had less time in the US Senate than Obama will have had.

Good points, Yukio. It's like people are really stretching to a find reason not to vote for Obama. I'm leaning toward him because I like his position on issues. The idea that he is going to be some kind of black messiah above reproach is wishful thinking. He is first and foremost a politician and his principle loyalty is to expediency. I really think he has a good shot at the vice presidency because the presidential field is crowded with a lot of other popular candidates - who are white. |

I don't give a care one way or the other because I'm a Republican and doubt very seriously if I would vote for any Democratic presidential candidate - but here are some reasons why Obama will NEVER occupy the Whitehouse:
He seems too pompous - not really in touch with real people. It's that whole ritzy upper crusty - wee look at mee I'm better than you thing. His aura is just wrong.
He is very unattractive. His ears are a major distraction. He needs to tie them back or something.
The wife - WTF is that expression on her face in the above pic about? She looks fucking retarded. They should have chosen a pic with her in a normal, relaxed facial expression, and not looking like she just swallowed a wad.
Voters do take the spouse of the candidate into consideration when voting - why do you think John Kerry couldn't get ahead (besides the fact that he was divorced and that he's a nimrod)? In the Muslim world a struggle is going on right now to see who will be the new Caliph. The U.S. and Europe and Russia do not want this.
Africa and South America are up for grabs--but there are tentative moves to unite to fight all these others.

I don't give a care one way or the other because I'm a Republican and doubt very seriously if I would vote for any Democratic presidential candidate - but here are some reasons why Obama will NEVER occupy the Whitehouse:
He seems too pompous - not really in touch with real people. It's that whole ritzy upper crusty - wee look at mee I'm better than you thing. His aura is just wrong.
He is very unattractive. His ears are a major distraction. He needs to tie them back or something.
The wife - WTF is that expression on her face in the above pic about? She looks fucking retarded. They should have chosen a pic with her in a normal, relaxed facial expression, and not looking like she just swallowed a wad.
