I have come to the conclusion that I was too hard on Black American men.
The truth is that my point of view was tainted by the actions of the MINORITY of them who are sellout loser muthafuckers who depress rather than uplift our race.
I believe that the majority of Black American men are decent, hardworking guys with their heads screwed on correctly who, for the most part, want to spend their lives wiht a black woman.
Unfortunately the minority - as represented on this forum by the likes of Eastwest - can taint a sister's view of ALL black men and make her forget that every black man does not have similar self-hating views.

Thank you. I appreciate you stepping forward and admitting that. As I have stated numerous times before, I have no problems with you lamenting about specific bad behavior by a number of black men. But you would demonize and degrade all American black men with some very racist, vulgar and profane language. And as I also stated before, I believe you were doing it to get a rise out of the readers….which did work. I also know I said some very harsh things in retaliation. Something I don’t do unless provoked or directly insulted. But I’m a very civil and easy going kinda guy so I’d like to put all of that behind us.
To be honest, I think you have the potential to be a very provocative and energizing poster. Just stay away from the cheap shots and over the top sensationalism for affect.

For this particular commentary, I agree with you 100% East West. It amazes me how a few skin color crazed idiots believe demonizing and degrading people because of their skin color, somehow elevates them to some kind of bizarre self-anointed ultra-black warrior, some one who believes skin color by itself, is a measurement of blackness and authenticity. They have sadly deluded themselves into believing they are somehow superior, more worthy (of what I have yet to figure out), racially loyal and important, than another black person simply because their skin is darker. It’s the exact mindset that non-blacks have towards black people –superiority based on skin color. But they don't see nor recognize this contradiction. It makes no sense.
Yet these self serving racist fools rant and rave at every opportunity to denounce other blacks in an orgy of spectacular ignorance. They somehow have convinced themselves that Angela Davis, Haki R. Madhubuti, Constance Motley, Kathleen Cleaver, James Weldon Johnson, Jean Toomer, and Benjamin O. Davis, Jr., are unworthy of recognition for their achievements and personal crusades to dismantle American apartheid. Why? Because their skin just happens to be lighter than theirs –that’s it! Nothing else! Never mind what they stood and fought for or achieved. They must be loathed and despised because one again, their skin "-is lighter than mine and that’s all I need to know in order to dismiss or hate someone." So you tell me, where is the logic in this? And most of all, what is to be achieved or accomplished by this mindless intra-group bigotry? Are black people not fragmented and divided enough for them??? I've asked this exact question three times before. Not one of the skin color crazed zealots has yet to answer it. I wonder why?

Honestly? I have gone way too far several times and I've been really mean about black American men too. But, I do think that I raised some provocative and relevant issues. That was certainly my intent. Eastwest, on the other hand, just seems to want to stir up hatred and anger for the fun of it. Or do you have a point - Eastwest - beyond suggesting that non-Somali black women are extremely ugly and that non-Somali Africans smell and are diseased? |
