Serenasailor, <88% of black men who ARE married are married to black women. When you factor in those who are single but are cohabitating or dating exclusively outside of their race, those numbers take a different shape.
I honestly don't know why she is dogging black men who date interracially. What about those who choose not to work/go to school, those who are abandoning their children, on drugs, selling them or gangbanging. Are you going to ignore them and go after the brotha who works hard, is doing right by his community, his family, but is married to a white woman? |

Yes I AM dogging American Negro men but NOT because of them dating or marrying outside of their race. My problem with them is that they are fucking men in the ass without protection adn taking HIV infection home to their wives, they are committing crimes and getting locked up in jail, they are breeding like rabbits and not taking care of the kids they have by multiple black women, they are lagging behind black women in terms of education and job status and they just blame The Man for all their failures. Those are my problems with American NEgro men. When you get Caribbean men and AFrican men coming to America, they work their asses off, even if that means taking on menial jobs, at least initially. And when African and Caribbean men breed, they generally tend to actually take care of their kids. Unlike the American Negro buck. Its a fucking disgrace! Even Nas recently got busted for not paying ANY child support at all for his kid. And Flava Fav: another Negro buck, another deadbeat dad. Are we supposed to be grateful that the likes of Flava Flav do actually date black women? |

Serena, i think the thing is ive never heard black british men talk shit about black women...or outright hate black women...while alot of them may be attracted to white skin ive just never seen this type of outright hatred from them that ive seen from alot of black american men. I think the thing with britain is they dont ahve as many racial issues and people jsut get along more and simply fall in love and marry interracial more for the right reasons than many do here in america. yes they have thier issues with race but not as much as america.
Marrying interracially or monoracially doesnt necessarily tell us rather or not one has issues with the opposite sex of their own race. There are men who are married interracially who dont have issues with black women and then there are tons who are married to or in relationships with black women who have issues with black women as well as themselves. So you really cant go by how many people are in an interracial relationship. |

Yeah Fortified those #'s show that only 9% of Black married men date outside of their race and 5% of Black women. Now 88% is still the vast majority. And other studies show that it is about 90%. Also I read another study that showed that 45% of Black American men will never marry whereas 40% of Black women will never marry.
Also, I read that interracial relationships between BW and non-BM are the fastest growing interracial relationships here in the country.I think you guys are letting the media get to your heads. |

Also, Misty I've heard Black British men say some mean and horrible things about Black British women. And try to justify why they choose to interracially date and marry. Black British men are the worst!!!!

Unfortunately, this is true. But you need to be more specific about your reasons for hating black American males when launching into your hysterical racist tirades. For one, you are correct about the down low brothers. But what you consistently fail to emphasize is this is a small minority of bisexual black men and do not represent black men as group! I agree the behavior is disgusting but you need to focus on the behavior and not attributing this practice to all American black men as a group. Contrary to what you may believe, the majority of black men do not fuck other black men in the ass! You need to understand this.

True. A large number of young black men between the ages of 18-35 are disproportionately tied into the justice and penal system. It is very tragic and I make no excuses for it. But once again, the majority of black American men as a group are not in jail nor are they committing crimes. I'm a American black man and I have never been arrested, committed a crime and neither have any of my black male friends nor any of the black males in my family. Why are such black men (non-criminals and not locked up)absent from your rants?

Well, high five on this one. I have no use nor will I defend black men (or any men) who refuse to support or recognize the children they create. It’s unacceptable behavior. I am a college graduate and so is every one of my high school black male friends. They range from medical doctors, nuclear physicists, Naval Academy Annapolis grads, engineers, accountants and journalists. The black male friends I currently have all own homes, condos, are married, work and never been arrested. Again, why are such black men absent from your rants?

But while you're running down American black men, why don't you write about your black African male homies who hacked, burned, raped and murdered more than 800,000 other blacks in less than six months? Why don't you discuss how the raping of babies, small children and women is part of their culture? Why don't you discuss the highest rate of AIDS on the planet is devastating a continent and the spread of the disease is coming from black African men who refuse to use condoms or curtail their promiscuous sexual exploits with hordes of women and prostitutes outside their marriage?

I could go on and on and on about the bad and inexcusable behavior of your black African male homies but this will do -for now.

I agree. You’re absolutely correct. You should be with whom ever makes you happy. I recall working with a brother about four years ago who did not date black women. I was talking to him one day and the subject of dating came up. He told me he had no use for nor was he physically attracted to black women. He told me he was married to a black woman before and he would never make that mistake again. When I asked him why, his exact words were; ” I can’t deal with ‘em bro. Too much drama, loud, ignorant, fat and I can’t get with all that fake ass hair”. I was taken back but that was his opinion and he stood by it. Done deal. He dated white and Filipina women exclusively. So like you suggested, I advise her to do the same and date only men who do not offend nor disrespect her. Good advice Kola.

Actually Ntfs, for the first time ever: I agree with all the points you raise.
OBVIOUSLY black African men are spreading AIDs like wildfire. While they may not be fucking men in the ass, they are certainly fucking prostitutes unprotected and taking HIV home to their wifey. And, yes, black African men are fighting like maniacs, committing genocide, recruiting child soldiers, raping and pillaging.
Black men are BY NO MEANS perfect.
It's just that I am disappointed with black American men because, materially speaking, they actually have more than any other black people in the entire world. Criticize America as much as you want but this is a rich ass country and there are opportunities and resources here that most people in the world can only dream about. So, I thought that with the various resources available in this country, black American men could surely do better. For example, the downlow thing. If a man just gotta have it and can't resist fucking men in the ass -why not have enough respect for your black wife to AT LEAST USE A CONDOM??????? If you know that you can't afford to raise kids or just have no interest in kids, why not USE A CONDOM so your girlfriends don't get pregnant??
And let's get back to this skin tone issue. Now you've never heard me actually complain that black american diss me. They don't. But then I'm not the darkest sista on the block, I'm brown-skinned. What bothers me is that black American men generally do seem to give the very dark skinned sisters a really hard time and/or ignore them like they dont' even exist. Their ideal really does seem to be a sister who is light like Halle or Beyonce. Sure, brown skinned chicks like me can get black American men, but you always feel like they've just settled for you adn they'd rather be with somebody real light. And it is true that a light skinned woman who does not have a very nice personality and is not at all pretty, is likely to get more attention from black American males than a very attractive, very dark sista. That is sad. And 75% of the women in my family are very dark-skinned and they are married to African men; I don't think most of them ever even got asked out on one date by a black American man.
Unlike Eastwest, I don't look Asian or Hispanic. I am the color of Sanaa Lathan. I look like a regular Black American girl even though I'm actually African. The last Black American man I dated told me that he didn't believe I was "pure African" because I looked "too cute for that." That is a very self-hating thing to say. I didn't want to go out with him again after that and he told me that what he'd said was supposed to be a compliment. WTF? |

or latina but I was raised better than that I love my african parents and family.
I am just disgusted with the situation in Africa
especially Sudan,some of the things I have been
reading about Sudan, are enough to make my blood
boil,ARABS along with the WHITE CAVE BITCHES HAVE
BOTH PLAYED A PART IN FUCKING AFRICA UP,excuse
my language.
I am now in the process of buying the
freedom of at least 10 sudaneese slaves from their arabic or (arabized black) masters, a
christian group is actually going into Sudan to buy the freedom of at least 2,000 slaves,in
Northern Sudan and they have only a very short time TO DO THIS.Things like that bother me

Eastwest, I'd be curious to see your photo. You talk about how you could pass for Asian or Latina. While Igbos can be quite light, I've never yet seen an Igbo who could be mistaken for Asian or Latina and I lived in Igboland for a long time. I know that you are half Kenyan, but I've never met Kenyans who looked Asian or Hispanic either. |

I guess I shouldn't really get so worked up about Black American guys. The reason I do is that we are all black regardless of whether we are African or AMerican Negro. It distresses me that American Negro men are often full of self-hate. I don't understand why they don't feel more proud to be black. I do not believe you can be a truly proud black man if you think that white women are superior to the black women who birthed you. You cannot be a proud black man if your greatest wish in life is for your children to have "good" hair and skin that would pass a brown paper bag test.

Toubobie, I agree but what is your solution for our black women? What men WILL take care of them?
When I see American black men respecting their American black women and treating them lovingly and being proud of their own women, I think that it is a BEAUTIFUL thing. It warms my heart to see a young, happy, Black American couple. But what I'm seeing more and more often, especially in my neighborhood, is Black American men grinning like a demented Minstrel with a real ugly stringy white woman on his arm, or better yet, a flatfaced, confused looking Asian bitch on his arm. I notice that sometimes these "brothers" seem unable to even look me in the eye as we pass by in the street.
I don't consider African men - or any other men, to be perfect. But they don't seem to have the self-hatred problems that many American Black men have. They also don't seem to go to prison in the same numbers.
Yes, I have met some cool, American black men who have good attitudes. But I've met more of them who are frankly scary. |

Ummmm...This is true. I have often said the exact same thing myself. And to be honest, there is no excuse for the massive failure of an unfortunate number of American black men. I do not and will not make excuses for their self destructive behavior and negligence.

Well....ya know...I don't know what to say about this. As a black man, I cannot begin to explain what is going on in the minds of other black men who have unprotected anal sex with other men and then come home to have sex with their wives or girlfriends. And I cannot explain why a man would brazenly father children with numerous other women and refuse to have anything to do with the children he created. The behavior is despicable and unacceptable. It is also a tragically open festering wound and the Achilles heel of Black America. I can only tell you that none of those impoverished fatherless and unsupervised children are mine. I have not contributed to the burgeoning numbers of unwed black mothers and abandoned children.

If they don't diss you or treat you poorly, then why do you clown and harshly degrade them all the time? And to be honest, I have no problems with your commenting specifically about poor black American male behavior that is relevant to a particular demographic group. If you have noticed, I have openly agreed with black women and made no attempts at excusing indefensible black male behavior. But haranguing against all and every American black man with a broad swipe of a brush is over the top and unwarranted. That I don't tolerate nor agree with.

Good point. I don't know what to say. I will admit that I have heard this from numerous black women. In fact, my neighbor, who is a very dark complexioned sister, told me black men will not give her the time of the day. She told me white and Latino men often ask her out for dates, but the brothers will not. Is it because of her dark complexion? I can't say because she never said skin color may be an issue. But she and I have gone around and around about her dating statistics. According to her, 90% of all black men in San Diego date white and non-black women. That's right -she believes only 9 out of ten black men are in relationships with black women! And there is no way I can convince her of otherwise. Now, we know that is not true, but she has convinced herself of this false statistic.
And I know of two brothers who are respectively from Georgia and Alabama who are "red bone" disciples. Both openly admitted it. But I also had a black woman tell me she was only attracted to light complexioned men while another told me she only dates dark complexioned men. For me, race or skin color is not a factor, but having curves, round booties, hips, symmetry and big legs is. That's a form of personal attraction that does not do well for women who are excessively overweight, petite, skinny, asymmetrical or who have flat butts. But I can't help myself. I've been this way all my life. What am I to do? And how does my personal preference differ from someone who is attracted to skin color?
It's all physical attraction. I'm sure you and ever other woman who is reading this post is attracted to men for certain physical reasons. How does one control what one is attracted to? It's like controlling your blood type or eye color. You can't!
As I said, I will admit there are brothers who are into the skin color thing. But don't forget, it's not restricted to black men! Black women, Asians, Indians Latinos and others are into this skin color game also. I’ve seen and heard it countless times. Is it a question of personal preference? A moral question of right and wrong? Do these brothers or black women have a right to date women that they are attracted to? What's the answer?

Many of these women are the most attractive woman I have seen, white, black, Asian or Latino -it doesn't matter, they are absolutely gorgeous!

As far as my thoughts on some of the other posters who spew hate, I have to admit that I ignore a great number of posters here. That is my reason for not responding to their remarks and certainly NOT because I condone offensive and ignorant remarks about Africans or Black women. |

I've seen mysogyny and disrespect exhibited by men of ALL ethnicities; however, black male fools exhibit this trait more than any other.
I suggest that black women ought to explore their options. We ought to stop feeling guilty when we even think about venturing outside the race for companionship and some good d*ck.
As far as procreation is concerned, race mixing is a bad idea and only worsens our problems. We need to ADOPT the black children abandoned by black male fools and certain disillusioned black women.
If you MUST have your own baby, be financially ready, have an adequate support system, and invest in a sperm bank. In fact, ask a black man who (you think in err) is on the up-and-up for his squirts of life. Most likely he is successful and chasing after latinas and white women, anyway, and could care less about what a darkie does with his semen. I've actually asked certain colleagues. You'll be surprised at the responses you may get.

As a very dark skinned black woman in America, here's my $0.02 worth.
The majority of African American men have just never paid me much attention.
I have always gotten attention from white men and Latin men.
When I was single and I would go out with the girls, 90% of the black men we met would act as though I was invisible and make a beeline for one of my light skinned girlfriends.
Yes, it made me feel invisible and depressed.
On rare occasions, a black man would go for - but it was always one of those so-called 'conscious' brothers. The Talib Kweli type. Which is all good. But I definitely recall feeling very rejected.
I found that African men, when they found out that I am from a Nigerian background, would have interest in me too.
Yes, I could have just dated white and be done with it. But the truth is that I love black men. The majority of them didn't love women like me back though!

Lola. Just how MANY men should be compelled to approach you? How many? I mean, there's got to be PLENTY of "conscious brothas" and fellow Africans in the NYC for you. And you say you're married. So OBVIOUSLY at least ONE man found you so enchanting he jumped the broom with you.
As I said before, I often think this is some wierd contest where by some women feel they should be approached by 10 or 20 guys because some other chick gets that kind of attention.
Men spend their whole lives knowing that some men are going to get more love from women. We know and accept that the tallest, best looking, richest, guy who's got the flyest ride, high-profile gig, etc. is going to get MORE or MOST of the attention. MOST men accept that and just keep on stepping to whatever is left for them to get at. |

Well, I can't speak for the majority of Jamaicans. But all of the Jamaican women that I personally have met had their men leave them during pregnancy. One even left without paying that month's rent (I met this girl when I volunteered at a women's shelter). Sounds like the stereotypical American man to me.
Also, sadly, during my three years at the shelter, many women came and went. 99% of them were black women with children. Only ONE was Asian (in THREE YEARS), and I can only remember 4 white women, and only two of them had children. |

You must be meeting some pretty low income Jamaican women. I know lots of them. They've mainly got their shit together and wouldn't even date the kind of lowlife who'd leave them while pregnant. They also have education and careers so if a man did leave them, they still wouldn't wind up in a shelter. |

Yeah, they are pretty low income. This particular girl worked as a dishwasher for minimum wage and had no relatives in the US at all. Another also had no relatives here (she came with her bf) and she ended up going back to Jamaica when he left her. They all had menial jobs. |
