I don't. People have their personal preferences and it's no one's business nor should anyone have to explain their choices. If it's not for you, fine. Move on and be with whomever you are attracted to. Not only is it none of your business, but there is absolutely nothing you can do about it! But I do agree with you about the hair thing. I have always found the term "good hair" to be offensive and ignorant. Granted, some people have hair that is easier to maintain or manage, but regardless, such self degrading racist terms as "good hair" have never been part of my vocabulary.

I'm sure you have. I've run into the same mindset with black women. In fact, I remember two of them telling me point blank that they were only attracted to light complexioned men. One of them told me (direct quote verbatim): "If a man is light skinned, he's already half way thorough the door". When I was a teenager, black girls would do back ward somersaults for light complexioned guys. And if they had light colored eyes -done deal (I've personally dealt with this nonsense)! That's all they focused on. Same goes for hair. They would talk about the guys hair as if it were a separate entity or personality. It was very sad. And I also remember some very racist comments made about dark complexioned brothers by black women when I was in high school and college (and I still do).
I don't think this so-called "colorism" you speak of is exclusive to only black men. Although I respect an individuals right to pick and choose whom they are attracted to (for whatever reason), I've personally never subscribed nor participated in the light vs dark, good hair-bad hair, pretty eyes thing. As black person, I've always found such thinking to be ignorant and embarrassing.
Anyway, welcome back Kola. We were wondering where you were. Good to hear your commentary again. Thins had gotten a little stale around here at one point.
