I won't go into details here -- there are more timely and complete sources elsewhere on the net. However NYC police detectives managed to fire 50 bullets and kill yet another unarmed Black young man.
"...Trigger-happy policing. Panic is spreading. God knows where we're heading."
It does make you wanna holler and throw up both your hands. A white boy can shoot up an entire school and policemen can fire les than 50 rounds...
I was pulled over in Brooklyn a couple of months ago. No less than 3 crusiers pulled up on me with lights flashing. Me and my boy were asked to get out the car. We and the car were both searched. The reason given was that a driver, fitting my description, in the same make and model car was reporeted as flashing a gun.
"5.0" was pretty agressive until the felt comfortable we were not the target afterward they (well one) was very apologetic. It was like I was wasting their time by not being the criminal. I guess they figured you pull the randon knee-grow over you gonna come up with something -- an outstanding warrant at least.
If the cars were unmarked I'm not so sure I would have pulled over so quickly -- and the results might have been disatorous.
Situations where more than two cops are involved are very volitile.
Another stark example of why Black boys are greater danger than in, perhaps, the last 100 years -- disinfranchised and still targets.

I'm so mad! I don't know what all happened but why do they jump out in front of people's cars and then claim someone tried to run them over??? And whatever happened to just shooting the tires out? I HATE the police. They're stupid everywhere!!! |

But, seriously. I'd like to reserve my final assessment of what happened until all possible fair and impartial facts (assuming, of course, such EXISTS) have been revealed.
I'd agree that firing FIFTY rounds into a car seems enormously EXCESSIVE. However, the cops were undercover, the the victims had rear-ended them and, allegedly, tried to rundown one of them.
So I guess I could see how the cops might have (albeit over-)reacted to fears that that their cover had been blown and an attempt was being made on their lives.
I'm NOT asserting that this is what occurred. But if it did, I can see how things might have gotten out of hand. |

The overreaction demonstrated by the police in this confrontation is a manisfestation of the "nigger" syndrome. A "gang of violent black dudes" are perceived differently than a "group of unruly white guys." Once again, it's all about words, folks. e.g. the word "black" is interchangeable with the word "nigger", and the word "nigger" is synonomous with being dispensable. End result: a bunch of shot-up niggazz. And so it goes. |

this is exactly what i said a few days ago about people in harlem welcoming the police b/c it protected them from the criminals...and low and beyond, anotha one of us bites the dust! |

i live just outside of nyc.
when im in "the city", im ALWAYS aware of "5-0", and the fact that at any moment they can stop me.
once i was in time square, i had just come from a dentist appointment, and had a toothbrush in my pocket.
an undercover cop on foot, stopped me and asked me if i "had anything on me, that i was not supposed to have".
after telling him no, i was put up agianst a wall and frisked. after he saw that i only had a toothbrush, i was let go.
ive been stopped 3 other times also.
the cops always give the "you fit the description" b.s.
dealing with po-po in nyc is NO JOKE.
just being black in this city there is a chance you could be stopped and killed by the NYPD at any moment.
this is why i ALWAYS move slowly (when around officers) and OBEY the cops at all times.
these evil police WILL kill you if they have the chance.
when was the last time ANYONE white was murdered by the NYPD? |
