Why are we so surprised? Elitist beige blue bloods have always foresaken black-skinned peoples in America. They are not black. Can we put them out of their misery and "honor" them with their own distinct race? Besides, they are more white than black. Ford is just as red as that confederate flag. |

there was a community of blue bloods during the harlem renaissance around the West 135th street area, especially, that controlled all the real estate in the area. Darkies were not allowed in the coterie.
In New Orleans since slavery, blue bloods made great strides in separating themselves from the Negro race. For them, black skin and nappy hair were the problem, not white supremacy. Interestingly, in spite of the large population of blue bloods in New Orleans, most of the poor black faces seen in Katrina footage were dark, very few blue bloods or whites--they all could afford to leave before the storm hit. The color/economic based caste system is still fiercely perpetuated in certain areas of America. Dumb-ass 'intellectual' black skinned males and blue bloods are often the benefactors.
