I would like to congratulate my opponents for emerging victorious in the race to accurately predict the outcome of the elections. I said the Republicans would prevail, but the voters have spoken, proving me wrong. Thank Goodness! So now the Democrats have their chance, and I hope they're grateful to me for not jinxing them by predicting they would win. |

Well, to be honest, I'm not that optimistic about any serious or meaningful changes. I hope I'm wrong.....but I seriously doubt it. |

The Democrats are bought and paid for by the same people who own the Republicans--The Military/Political/Industrial/Intelligence/Financial Complex. Many theorize that they will just continue the same policies the Republicans have just talk different. So what will happen? Why, we'll throw the bums out! So what? They are all going to get cushy jobs and they'll get another bunch in there do the same thang. |

Well, Mzuri, the main thing that was wrong with America was the Bush administration. So in defeating it, the battle is half won. Dems are off to a flying start. It remains to be seen whether the American eagle will soar, or will just stay the course. |

I agree that the Bush administration is WRONG, but everything else is so messed up too. We still have hunger, homelessness, no healthcare for the masses, govt fraud and waste, gangs, child molesters, high crime in general, over-populated prison systems, high gasoline and energy costs, and I could go on and on. The Democrats can't do squat about all of this mess |

Doing something about the mess this country is in, is considerably hampered by how the billions of dollars squandered on the war in Iraq has bankrupted the national treasury. At least a plan to allieviate all of these woes will provide a platform for the presidential race in 2 years. |

Even if we weren't wasting money we don't have on the war in Iraq, this mess still wouldn't be fixed. We can't even extinguish a forest fire. Can't take care of our own mess but we can fix everybody elses mess(es). That practice began long ago way before Bush came along |

The war and getting back at Bush for Katrina was VERY important. But it was ALLLL about PUTTING AN END TO THE BLACK CONSERVATIVE MOVEMENT for me. Juan Williams and the Cosby hopefuls got on my last gotdayum nerves. And the sure fire way to 86 ‘em was pulling the plug on them Evangelicals and them crazy right wing Neo-cons. So I've been enthusiastic about this election for some time now. And by the way things are shaping up; I got exactly what I wanted. Hasta la vista self-righteous nigger stock wannabes! |

Juan Williams and Bill Cosby were probably just as glad as you that Bush lost, Tonya, because they are not conservatives. They are actually less to the right than pro-lifer Democratic senatorial hopeful Harold Ford is with his call for prayer in schools, and no gun control measures. Williams and Cosby are what most Americans, including me, are: MODERATES. We "middle-of-the-roaders" are the ones who made the difference in this election. |

Yeah...Independent voters MADE THE DIFFERENCE....They did not win this election nor do they constitute most voters. And I don't care what Cosby and Williams call themselves; Williams (a liberal) wrote a book to capitalize off of the current climate, squeezing WHAT EVER HE COULD out of the pocketbooks of cheap ass conservatives....Brutha put some steak on it and it worked. And Harold Ford (Mr. Playboy Bunny) is as much of a Jesus freak as were the late Easy E and the 2Live Crew. And the ONLY reason he's for no gun control is cuz his pretty preppy metro sexual big city ass don't know a damn thing about controlling no gun! But them Tennesseans do know exactly who they are and so despite putting steak on it, he lost...a sign that America is waking up. |

And btw, independent voters, the ones who made up the difference, aren't necessarily moderates or "middle-of-the-roaders," in fact most of them are faaar faaar leftists, what some may call extremists. And the ones who are moderates usually vote Republican because, in reality, they are moderate Republicans---not “Centrists” (i.e., middle-of-the-roaders) in the genuine sense of the word. Their voting status rarely reflects their true ideology.

"Independent voters" was your term, Tonya, not mine. I said "moderates" - people who are liberal on some issues and conservative on others - people who voted against gay marriage but rejected total abortion bans and were for stem cell research and, above all, were disillusioned with America's "good" intentions in Iraq. |

But I believe your words were: "We 'middle-of-the-roaders' are the ones who made the difference in this election." And my point was it was independent voters who made the difference in this election and they are NOT "middle-of-the-roaders." |

How do you know that Independents are not middle of the roaders? Some may be, others not. All an Independent is, is somebody who doesn't claim a party affiliation. |

Are you quoting a source in your 03:30 post, Tonya? I know many folks, including family members, who call themselves "Independents" but don't fit that description. And when have people to the far far left ever been shy about calling themselves "Radicals". Just goes to show what a corner we back themselves into when we start trying to put labels on people. |

"....Williams (a liberal) wrote a book to capitalize off of the current climate, squeezing WHAT EVER HE COULD out of the pocketbooks of cheap ass conservatives...." Typical misguided delusional trash talking. Such groundless accusations have no validity. Cosby told the truth and Williams premise in his recent book was on the money. Both of the brothers have been red pepper in the eyes of indignant excuse makers for inexcusable poor black behavior. The vitriolic angst and silly name calling from the tired race apologists is just as bad as the mindset of white ultra conservatives.

"I know many folks, including family members, who call themselves "Independents" but don't fit that description. And when have people to the far far left ever been shy about calling themselves 'Radicals". Well, what description do they fit? And name a well known group/party that calls itself radical, far far left or far far right. "Just goes to show what a corner we back themselves into when we start trying to put labels on people." You mean like the terms "moderates" and "middle-of-the-roaders," I agree. In fact thats my entire point. "Independent" is an actual voting status, not a P.O.V., or a generic label. These people are registered that way; they don't just "call themselves Independents." It's like registered Democrats and registered Republicans. You wouldn't use the term "moderates" in place of the term "Democrats" because not all Democrats are mooderates, likewise for "Republicans." So: you cannot do that with Independents--especailly since most of them do not have moderate P.O.V's like I explained….which I'm waiting for you to dispute. |

Well, Tonya, if you don't vote in the Primaries, you don't have to declare your party affiliation. So everybody who considers themself an Independent is not neccessarily registered. And I would think that someone who consideres himself an independent thinker and does not adhere to any particular party would also fall under the independent umbrella. Bottom line is when a person gets in the polling booth, he can vote anyway he decides to. They have even discovered that exit polls are not that accurate because people lie about how they voted. I will concede that these labels including the ones I used overlap;labels are murky because we are dealing with in a state of flux. BTW is a "swing voter" the same as a "cross over voter"?? |

Cynnique, I've heard them called other things but never a "cross over voter." Still, you could be right; there are other names for them like “undecided voters” and they are basically voters who often vote across party lines. They can be Independents or Republicans or Democrats but they are usually Centrists, liberal Republicans and conservative Democrats. |

”NEWS FLASH: "tired race apologists" and "white ultra conservatives" is "silly name calling" ...DUMB ASS.” "NEWS FLASH UPDATE: Race apologists describes exactly what they do. Make tired excuses for bad behavior, poor individual decision making and irresponsibility. The label white ultra conservatives describes a particular group. THEY ARE WHITE AND THEY ARE ULTRA CONSERVATIVE. THEY HAVE EVEN CALLED THEMSELVES ULTRA CONSERVATIVE. No name calling here. Just descriptions. A perfect example of duncical name calling would be calling people you disagree with self-righteous nigger stock wannabes! …MORON."

"Labeling people "white ultra conservatives" is just like calling someone a flaming liberal which...in case you didn’t know POPS...are fighting words these days." Oh? People like Sean Hannity, Rush Limbaugh and Ann Coulter are not white and not ultra conservative? They are white (maybe you didn't notice) and they don't mind being called ultra conservative. It has nothing to do with me or my personal definitions. So how is it name calling? "And self-righteous nigger stock wannabes DESCRIBES people like YOU to the fucking T, which is why you responded so heatedly... " Well, you just made my point. Calling people "niggers" you do not politically agree with is not name calling? Is that the best you can do? Rather than resorting to calling people ugly racist names you should be able to debate their politics. But for a nescient individual like you, who lacks the intellectual ability to dissect suspect political postitions or debate someone without profanity and racist name calling, it would be asking too much…….way too much! Never mind pointing out the fine points of your differences, just call someone stupid names. That seems to work best for your vacuous rambling and personal attacks. "Btw2, the word "ultra" means extreme or holding extremist views so you are shamelessly calling these people EXTREMISTS. " Excuse me? There is nothing to be ashamed of. It's caricatures like youself who resort to cheap racist name calling. Now that's extreme. As much as I passionately disagree with Ward Connerly or Clarence Thomas, I have never taken cheap shots at them by calling either "niggers". That's what you do. I just point out why I disagree with both men. I leave the ignorant race baiting to you. That's your job. "Tonya, you are very quick to describe in derogatory terms the black people whose attitudes and policies you so vehemently disagree with, so just what are the specifics of your alternative approach to improving a dire situation? " She has none....PERIOD! She foams at the mouth and retaliates against black people she disagrees with by calling them racist and profane names. Disagreeing with a black person is something she cannot do without calling them "niggers". The silly name calling is irrelevant to the issue of disagreement. But when you cannot debate nor argue your position intelligently, the next best thing for her is to call people racist names. I'm sure you have noticed this about her vapid weak responses and her ongoing hypocrisy. It’s very predictable. "As an self-described "authentic" black woman, what constructive solutions do you have to put forth to improve the plight of your people?????" Again, she has none! The best she can do is rant, call black people she does not agree with "niggers" because of her personal short comings that are compounded by deep rooted feelings of inferiority. Her pathological obsession with skin color and dislike of black men clearly reflects her tormented history of personal rejection and bitterness. She is "authentic" as a seven dollar bill. Histrionics and racist name calling are the only tools she has to work with. But as bad as this sounds, I actually enjoy pushing her buttons and watching her do her frenzied besotted jig. Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha!
