Of course, Jesus had an Afro. The slavemaster just wanted you to believe that God and Jesus Christ look like himself so you would worship him. When in actually he looks more like his true father the Devil. |

Nonsense. Jesus looked more like Yassir Arafat or one of them Palestinians you got over there now. He was a Galilean, not a West African. |

Of course y'all could read your Bibles like no doubt your ministers have been trying in vain to get you to do. No. Y'all would rather see a movie in which all the inhabitants of Palestine 2000 years ago looked like the cast of a music video on BET.

Uh yeah, that's the idea Chris. Although all of the characters are not black. I'm completely viewing this production from an artistic perspective. |

"Of course, Jesus had an Afro. The slavemaster just wanted you to believe that God and Jesus Christ look like himself so you would worship him. After reading it, it illustrates a perfect example of what can happen to your brain from the ravages of destructive drug abuse.

Jesus was not even his name. The name of the man who we commonly identify as Jesus was Ya' Shua. This Hebrew name means "God is Salvation". Even in Greek which was a prevalent language of the time his name was Iesous. The letter "J" was a linguistic invention of Frenchman Petrus Ramus in the late 1500's. So if the letter "J" was not around during the time of Jesus'/Ya' Shua's life then it was suffice to say that he was not a "Jew" nor were the descents of Abraham, Isaac, Jacob/Israel, Moses, David or Solomon. Biblically from Eber came the Hebrews which became the Israelites and then after Assyrian conquest became Yehudi. The term "Jew" did not come about until the 1800's. In the scope of things actually very little is known about Jesus/Ya' Shua. Like Heru, Hercules and Thor Jesus/Ya' Shua was not born from a mortal or human father therefore his human heritage came from his mother only. After Jesus/Ya' Shua was buried he was taken to heaven body and all according to the Biblical Gospels. Because of this there is no body of the dead Jesus/Ya' Shua. So no one can be for certain what Jesus/Ya' Shua looked like. The Shroud of Turin does not count because there was never any authentication that the image was actually that of Jesus/Ya' Shua. What we do know is historically Jesus/Ya' Shua did not look like the long straight haired, blue eyed, fair skinned hippy that the early Knights Templar emulated. Serenasailor is correct. It is a common practice that the gods and deities are made by man the look like those who have conquered the land as a sign of favor from the god(s). It is commonly accepted that Jesus was probably the most benevolent white man of them are if you let white men tell the story. This movie yet more unfounded speculation as an attempt to paint Jesus black. Again no body no proof. The truth should never entertain us but empower and enlighten us. Nor should the truth be sold for profit. |

Sorry Jackie didn't mean to get so deep. I think I'll pass I know the story. Also Debbie Morgan played on "All my Children" not "General Hospital". Remember she was a part of the "Jesse and Angie" mini saga that had black people captivated. Hey I ain't ashamed to admit I had a secret soap addiction back in the day. I'm a brother so that's why that soap thing is a big deal...LOL..;) |

Thanks Mzuri I stand corrected. I guess I missed that because on General Hospital the show went in a wild and ridiculous direction when the "Robert Scorpion" character came on the seen. I stopped watching. |
