This racist shit was posted on the board this morning by Lil_ze:
the ethiopians, somalians, eritreans, and people from djbouti have nice physical features, and many of them are quite attractive physically.
but the rest of the continental africans are very ugly and very primitive. the african is on the lowest level of civilazation on earth.
you might not want to hear this, but its true.
In the short time I've been here, every single post by this sick motherfucker describes black women as porch monkeys, bitches and he says that he can't wait for everyone in Africa to die of AIDS.
To my shock I never see a brother take this asshole to task. He just rolls right along and this dude Schakspir applauds the racist shit. Mzuri defends him (??????) claiming these comments are misunderstood and she's supposedly a black female.
What in the hell are we coming to?
Where I come from brothers would stomp a mudhole in a mofo like Lil_ze. Whether he's mad, playing or not, this racist bullshit wouldn't be tolerated. I do see how the sisters on here could interpret the brothers not saying anything as a stab in the back because frankly I feel stabbed in the back watching this troll just hack down black women day in and day out and nobody questions the shit.

Nolanfane, I can see where that would get on your nerves, reading a black man bashing black women but as a black women...I get sick of some of us bashing black men. I mean damn....the shit is annoying and pointless.
Why the fuck are we doing this to one another? I've been reading some of the past posts on this site for a while, to familarize myself with some of the posters. I was hardest on Mzuri but after reading some of this crap, I can definitely see why she goes off sometimes.
True this is only the net and arguing over the net is silly but I can see how it happens. It's so sad that a site that was suppose to be an intelligent one gets reduced to blacks calling each other niggers, slaves, coons, etc.

Why is every person who reads this comment dude made about Africa and Africans just brushing it off and going on to something else?
I spent the last three days posting about sisters bashing black men and all what you just wrote in your post. I posted a poem about black love forever.

Like I said in a previous post, I have read past posts on this forum and I have see us bashing each other left and right about colorism, sexism, racism, etc. It's just messed up. I have read some of LilZe's posts and the ones - especially about Kola - are messed up so I can see why people stay on him. |

Although I find that her views are often as sexist in defense of women as are men she deride, I mostly agree with Kola's views about race, colorism, etc.
Still...I think that Kola has, perhaps more than anyone else, has helped to incite the antagonism that's incessantly expressed here.

While I commend Nolanfane for starting this important thread: there's a part of the situation that he is not seeing. The so-called Angry Black Sisters are starting to hate on black men BECAUSE of the nasty attitude black men have towards them and the mean things they say about them. Even singer Jill SCott spoke about it: black women are not "in style" and brothers are disrespecting them and running after white or light skinned women only. I would bet serious money that if black men had a history of treating sisters with respect and kindness instead of dissing them, there wouldn't be all these angered black women posting on this board or in life in general. There is NO OTHER RACE OF PEOPLE where the men diss their own women and put women of other races on a pedestal. |

Honestly? I think that black men and black women having an open and honest dialogue about these matters would be a great start. Instead, what seems to be happening here is that a black woman raises this particular issue, and some of the black male posters just confirm that they think darker skinned woman are unattractive and they start hollering about us being "bitter" and "bitches."
In a recent interview in Essence, Jill Scott also acknowledged the problem. |

Lightskin blacks have done a lot for the plight of black people as much as darkskinned blacks.

We were taught that black people come from Africa, therefore, the skin color most associated with our race naturally is dark. I think that is where a lot of people develop being colorstruck is that they focus too much on those blacks who don't really look black because face it we live in a white culture where it's easier to be white. My parents were both dark skint and they were the opposite. We were raised to be very proud of Africa our slave ancestors and our blackness. Me and my brothers had Afros and dated fine ass cocoa and tea sistas.
This is why I can relate to some of the posters feeling that certain light skint people aren't really black and acceptance of Lil_ze around here proves that. A lot of blacks dark and light are down for black people. But a lot of other blacks DARK and light really hate black people.

What are the thing about the folks from Ethiopia, Eritrea etc that makes them attractive to you but the people from most other African countries unattractive to you? well to answer you. i feel that the people in ethiopia, somalia, eritrea, djibouti, have high cheek bones, nice eye placement, nice noses, beautiful skin color, nice hair texture, thin lips.
the people in the above named countries for the most part simply are more beautiful than the other people on the african continent. its just my opinion.
most of the other people (not all, but most) on the african continent have low set cheek bones, flat noses, an ashy skin texture, big lips, and extremely course hair. i just don't think they are that attractive.
as far as the "north africans" go, most of those countries are arab in population. some of those countries do have non-arab people as well. i think the "black" people in those northe african countries are quite attractive also.
the people in senegal, ghana, etc are generally not that attractive to me.
the people of liberia (a large part of them) are the descendants of black american settlers, and resemble black americans. most of the people in liberia are attractive. many of them are identical to the black american, the same people.
of course im not talking about every single person in the other parts of africa, as being unattractive. but generally, they are not as pleasing to the eye as the people in ethiopia, somalia, eritrea, etc.

I am not trying to bait you Lil_ze, I was genuinely curious. This may sound weird to you, but I think that most black Americans actually resemble Ghanaians or Nigerians or Cameroonians. I don't really see many black Americans who look anything like the Ethiopians or the Eritreans. Also, when you say that some of the Africans have ashy-looking skin: do you mean that their skin is dry and they are not using a proper moisturizer? |

the "bushmen" of namibia look totally different from all other groups on the african continent, is this because they are "mixed blood"? no. its because thats how they look. there are different racial groups on the african continent. these groups have dark skin and similar textured hair, but they are not the same people. there is not one group on the african continent known as africans. there are different races that dwell there.
it wasn't my point to say that black americans resemble ethiopians. i don't think they do. black americans, west indians etc are a distinct racial group with their own physical characteristics.

well, we disagree. we are a distinct racial group. i don't know what kind of criteria saying that black americans "look like west africans" is.
many different racial groups "look" similar. the chinese and the japanese "look" similar, yet they are two different racial groups. some ethiopians "look" like other racial gropus from the african continent. you have the right to belive what you want.

I know a lot of you hate what Lil_ze has to say and indeed there is good reason to hate what he says. However, I actually suspect that a lot of black men feel the way he does. At least he's being honest about it, however pathetic his words may sound. I disagree with him on one point though - African-Americans are actually descending mainly from West AFricans adn you can see it in their appearance. India ARie looks like she could be from Ghana. Lauryn Hill could be Senegalese. Admittedly Eva Pigford does not look like a west African. But you see the West African in most AFrican American people I have seen. Sure Kiara is beautiful. So are many many Africans. You and I differ in that I generally think the Ethiopians, Somalians etc are LESS attractive than the Western, Central and Southern Africans. I just think that the Western Africans especially have the better physiques and really nice features. But then to me full lips and flat nose are attractive features, as shown on Oluchi etc.  |

Yes. I did author the quote you reference to. And I am NOT emphatically arguing that that is what happen. I'm simply hypothesizing that if we Black foks as a whole are much lighter than we are now that were our ancestors, what I present is amongst the more plausible ways in which such might have occurred. |
