Has anyone read Rajen Persaud's book 'Why Black Men Love White Women,". It is deeeep. I consider it a must-read. Persaud is a black man and he has no hidden agenda - it is not as though this book is authored by a so-called 'angry black woman'. He has a website: www.whyblackmenlovewhitewomen.com and there is an excerpt from the book on there.
I learned so much from this book!
Black men on this board (those of you who can afford to buy books) should definitely read this book! |

Well, if you are, get over it. Or go out and do like Michael Jackson and turn yourself white.
This is America. People get with who they want to. I happen to think you are better off with your own kind (unless they are some crazed black person all the time obsessing about black men/women getting with white men/women--and some of my best friends and family members are such miserable creatures)but everybody don't feel this way.
If they want to pay the price, let them.
Let me tell you something. Everytime I run across a person like you, man or woman within a few years they are with a white person and looking at you like you're crazy.

Chris, had you read the book you'd know that it actually has little to do with black men dating white women. The title is misleading; and I don't know why. There's so much information in this book that black men and women absolutely should read. Really, they should. But I think the title of the book turned some people off and made others think it's trivial. Nothing can be further from the truth though. After reading this book, I felt I understood black men a whole lot better. He did a wonderful job explaining to brothas (and some far removed sistas) the plight of poor black women, too. It's a terrific book. One of the most important in our life time, no doubt. The title doesn't do it justice at all. |

The book is really about why black men and women find it hard to love each other. That’s what the title should have been, in my honest opinion.

The title is misleading so that it will get confused young black males to read it. There's a serious message in there for black males, and wasn't directed at you sisters.
After reading so many of Kola Boof's "psyche-out" books you should have figured that out easy.

Its a wonderful book. But it also made me decide to give up on black American men. Maybe that wasn't the book's intention? But anyway, it was extremely interesting to read. |

Actually it makes me quite sad that black men are so emasculated and in such psychological turmoil.
If we were all granted two wishes by a Fairy Godmother - many black women would ask for love and unlimited wealth. Many black men would ask that they can get with white women and that they can actually also become white men (look at Michael Jackson). |
