She stood by and did nothing while Bill got head in the Oval Office She'll stand by and do nothing while _______ (fill in the blank with terrorists attack the U.S., hurricans ravage the coast, gas prices soar, the Middle Class is squeezed, our borders are invaded, you name it) This is going to be ugly. |

And I repeat - if she can't run her husband then she can't run the U.S.A. |

C'mon, mzuri and chrishayden. Running a husband is not comparable to running a country. Running a country calls for shrewdness and the ablility to delegate authority and surround yourself with capable people. All "running your husband" calls for is to keep him happy in bed, something Hillary showed little interest in. I think what bothered Hillary most about his dailliances was the fact that Bubba got caught, and was an embarrassment to her. That's a sign of ruthlessness, a very important trait in being a president. |

Hi Moonsigns - The woman must always be in control of the situation. And the man must have enough respect for his wife not to get caught with his pants down. Unfortunately we have none of this from the former presidential couple. And if you don't prefer to operate that way, it's alright with me. I'm just expressing my opinion that Hillary is not qualified to run around the block. |

Mzuri: "The woman must always be in control of the situation." Moonsigns: But people cannot always control situations and what happens around us. However, we can control our emotions --our reactions to particular situations. That I do believe. Mzuri: "And the man must have enough respect for his wife not to get caught with his pants down." Moonsigns: But a man who is even in the position with his "panst down" is not showing any sign of respect. Mzuri: "Hiliary is not qualified to run around the block." Moonsigns: I don't know about that. I think the only reason she has stayed in her marriage is because she loves power as much as he does --and she uses her marriage to advance her career and finances. I think, in some ways, she is smarter than people give her credit for. Mzuri: "And if you don't prefer to operate that way, it's alright with me." Moonsigns:

I know - you were busy groovin with Mr. Moonsigns over the weekend. Anyway, PBG started some mess on Friday. Someone posted as a mock KB and she accused me of doing it. Then Saturday, someone created a mock account of me and posted some vulgar garbage, basically that I don't bathe, etc. Then PBG accused me of doing that too - creating a mock account of my own self and making degrading comments against myself. Who would do such a thing? Then she started harrassing me on several threads that she had telephoned the site owner and told me how I was going to get in trouble - - it was just bizarro. We were all telling her to chill and she just went off on a tangent. Meanwhile I reported her behavior and then on Sat. afternoon she made a thread accusing me and C and another member of having a bunch of mock accounts and that the site owner told her it was us - it was just a big old mess. So anyway, I'm not sure who was behind all those mock accounts but PBG's been banned. http://www.thumperscorner.com/discus/messages/179/15998.html?1159144864 |

If we were talking about a marriage I'd agree. But they were sold as a Co-Presidency. So the Co-President couldn't run her partner. And she won't be able to do it again if she's in there. She needed to wait a few years for Bill to drop off or get senile and people to forget the horror of the Clinton years. As it is the Rebublicans can't wait for her to run. They're going to dog her like they did Kerry and she's going to stand there like a deer in the headlights-- Whitewater, Vince Foster, selling missle technology to China, Mogadishu, the aspirin factory they bombed in Sudan, Monica, Gennifer, bimbo eruptions--they still raise hackles in the red states |

It's not like Hillary can't counteract all of this flack. All she has to do is hammer away at all the failures of the Bush administration, - the ongoing war in Iraq, the lies and deception and intelligence failures and financial disasters associated with it and, of course, there's the FEMA fiasco. And while pointing a finger at all of these calamaties she can also be promoting her pet project of providing better health care for everyone, an issue that strikes a note with the public. Also, the Clinton scandel is played out. The American people are jaded by it, and younger voters are not that scandalized by the randy antics of ol Bubba. It's all a big joke. Not only that, if Republicans go for the overkill on Hillary, there might be a backlash from woman voters. |
