these men are albinos but their skin looks very much like alot of whites. i was just wondering would some of the people here who say that its impossible for a true black person to be the same skin color as beyonce or lighter and have blue eys and blonde hair would you describe these men as black? here are pictures of two alibno africans

To me that last guy looks like alot of white men all he would ahve to do is straighten his hair and cut his beared off and the lady would look completely white if she straightened her hair. There are black albinos who ive heard of who pass for white, so i was wondering since these albinos could pass for white, that would mean their experiences would be different from the average black. would you all consider them non-black even if they have 100% to 80% african blood? | |||

shemika i've actually heard of albinos who pass for white and as i said that last guy could pass the same as that woman. I also heard of a case where an albino parents was able to pass along ehr blue eyes to one of her "normal" children. the little girl had brown skin and blue eyes but the mother was an albino. there is this one italian guy who i know of who thought albinos were mixed blacks, alot of people who dont know aobut albinism think that though. they say albinism is a genetic mutation and it means the genes have gone wrong but i dont know if i believe everything aobut that. science has a way of claiming that anything "unusual" or uncommon is somehow a defect. Scientists also have an agenda themselves when they make certain claims. | |||

I'm sure some can pass because they still retain whatever features their parents have who may have had some mixture as well. It's a rare condition; I've only met a few that I recognized as such. But it all boils down to the attitude and the outward appearance. People who can and have a mind to do so will assume a white identity. And with plastic surgery and all the cosmetic aids I'm sure the possibilities are endless. | |||

but shemika a person truely doesnt have to be mixed to have a thinner nose....that last man i posted for example looks like alot of white men as well as alot of african men ive seen it doesnt mean hes mixed because he doesnt have obvious african features that jump out at you. he is an african albino. anyone rather albino or regular can pass their features down to their children rather thier children be normal or albino. Its all genetics which is why you do ahve some africans with hazel and blue eyes and normal skin coloring (not albino skin coloring)...this is part of why i say we dont ahve to be mixed to ahve these features. it has been proven that the greatest amount of genetic diversity can be found in one single african tribe...so we can ahve all looks. | |||

In case you're not aware there are some Africans who have mixed with Europeans. And there are plenty of whites who have African ancestry but define themselves as white, big deal. I'm not disputing that. I've acknowledged that race is a social construct based upon the outward appearance that we are forced to contend with one way or another. What holds consistent is that those with the darkest hue and natural African features (which we all know what they are so don't pretend not to), are the ones mistreated and looked down upon by those deeming themselves closer up the racial latter to whiteness. | |||

I didn't say people couldn't have different features, even within the same families. But you remind me of how the Dutch used that as a way of romancing some Africans into thinking they were better then others by saying same had features more like whites then others. The problem is that people use these differences as an excuse to abuse the darker blacks with the most predominant black features. And when they attempt to address such injustices the perpetrators wrongfully get all sanctimonious and offended to advoid responsibilty. | |||

I could be wrong, but from what I understand of albinism, the only difference between them and other blacks is their bodies' inability to make ANY melanin (skin, hair, or eyes) and their predisposition for bad eyesight. So, in this case, I guess it would be somewhat of a defect. Defect (in this case, at least) meaning more of "out of the norm" than having any negative connotations. | |||

I understand what you mean renata but sometimes i wonder about that because if its true that they cant produce melanin, then how come there are albinos wiht darker skin, darker eyes and darker hair than others? For instance, most black albinos are darker than white albinos. black albinos tend to have either cream colored skin or pinkish white skin. And their hair ranges from yellowish blonde to red to reddish brown. Their eye color ranges from blue to hazel to green to brown. However most of them have blue eyes. White albinos are more likely to have red or violet eyes than black albinos (however most of them ahve blue eyes as well). they are extreemely pale with no pigment at all in their skin. and thier hair is yellowish white. | |||

ABM, yes i think most of them naturally hair like that. One time when i was watching this makeover show called home delivery they had this little albino girl on there and her hair was like that guys hair. I dont know if its specific forms of albinism that cause their hair to be like that or rather most white albinos naturally have hair that texture. In those modern day pictures i showed you of white albinos those womens hair is straight but maybe thats because they now have hair straighteners whereas back when those old pictures were taken they didnt have hair straighteners. there are more pictures i could post of white albinos where they have hair like that guy |
