NEW YORK - Rapper Foxy Brown pleaded guilty on Monday to misdemeanor assault charges stemming from a fight with salon workers over a manicure. The plea deal, which spares her jail time, requires her to serve three years probation and take anger management classes, said Edison Alban, a spokesman for the Manhattan district attorney's office.

Minutes after the plea, Brown, whose real name is Inga Marchand, tried to return to the courtroom and withdraw it, claiming she had been rushed into the decision, Alban said. But the judge told her "the plea stands," the spokesman said.
A telephone call to Brown's attorney was not immediately returned Monday.
Prosecutors said the 26-year-old rapper, who once appeared in court wearing 4-inch hoop earrings and 3-inch stiletto heels, kicked one employee and smacked a second in the face on Aug. 29, 2004, in an argument over payment for a manicure at Bloomie Nails.
Her sentencing was scheduled for Oct. 23.
The case almost was settled in December when Brown, whose albums include "Ill Na Na" and "Chyna Doll," had been expected to enter a plea. But the agreement fell apart, apparently because Criminal Court Judge Melissa Jackson was unsatisfied with Brown's plea statement.
Prosecutors had said they believed the statement was legally and factually flawed, indicating they believed Brown, known for her raunchy lyrics and revealing clothes, had not accepted enough blame for the nail salon quarrel.

WOW!! As long as she's been on the scene, I would have figured her being at LEAST 30 or more.

Listenting to Foxy's CD "Broken Silence" (on which she significantly raised her game and was actually rapping about some meaningful shit--including colorism), I'd say she has a few brains, actually.
She's not dumb.
It's just that she's in a dumb industry and like most BW----she's frightfully insecure.

I don't think there's anything wrong with having sexual fantasies about a 16 year old.....when she's on t.v. presenting herself as a 23 year old.
This is a case where I totally can see how men would be seduced----because FOXY deliberately seduced them.

I wouldn't want to leer at and fantasize about boning a child. I know some men get off on that kinda stuff and worse (see R. Kelly). But not me.
I honestly thought the Foxy Brown that I was salivating over 9 years ago was at least 21 years old. And if I thought otherwise, I would have ignored even looking at her for fear of thinking some fairly illicit thoughts.
Doesn't confusion on these issues help promote the molestation of children? |

abm, do you really think a 16 year old is a child? when i think of a "child", i think of a 6,7, or 8 year old. in other countries by the time a female is 16 she is married with 3 children. in a few american states a 14 year old can be married with parental consent.
abm, have you ever been around high school juniors or seniors? those girls are WAY FINE. our american culture has set up this, "18 year old is an adult" mentality. but history, nature, and logic prove that a 16 year old in NOT a "child".
