I thought somebody would have run this out on me, since I was so all fired convinced that her mama did it.
Well you must be psychic. His confession is already falling apart.
They will probably have a number of confessions before it is over. Every time there is a high profile murder the cops get an avalanche of confessions. Dozens of men confessed to being Jack the Ripper over the years.

I thought Patsy did it too! Funny how someone gets arrested just months after Patsy's death.
How is the guy's confession falling apart?
He alleged said he was "there when JonBenet died."
Obviously there is no excuse for murdering a child, but why on earth would her parents allow her to be paraded around half naked for every pervert to see? |

My wife FORCED me to watch some of the CNN reporting of this so-called breaking story. As they're discussing things (which I totally ignoring), I can't help noticing they're showing video of Jon Benet prancing around like some gotdayam show pony or something. And I'm thinking there's just something grossly PORNOGRAPHIC about the media and public fixation upon that child. |

People are coming forward who said he never lived in Colorado, that he confessed once in 2001, that he has mental problems, that he wrote articles and magazines on the murder and was writing a book and the case took him over.
For myself--why does a murderer write a ransom note knowing he (or she) has killed the victim and left the body right in the house where it will be discovered shortly (why doesn't he take it with him)
Is Aspen Colorado some wonderland where billionaires (ALWAYS under the threat of assault or kidnapping) have no security on their houses, where somebody can sneak in and hide while they are gone, wait until they are all asleep, get out, strangle a kid to death and leave and nobody knows it?
One of them did it--I thought it was the old man at first but I think that mom would have dimed on him--

I agree. The media is in love with JB, poor thing. She has been victimized again and again. And you are right. Sadly, there are children all over this country that get killed. In fact some of the kids from Katrina have yet to be reunited with their parents. Why don't we spend time, money and resources on them?
Chrishayden-The so-called killer's ex-wife said he was with her in Alabama during the time of the murder, which I believe was New Year's Eve, 1996. Very strange. I always thought that father looked suspicious. |

I think the whole case is bizarre! I've always thought the parents were weirdos, especially the father. And, it's totally weird that this guy just shows up on the scene confessing --especially after the mothers death. Nonetheless, a child suffered and was strangled to death --which is very, very sad!!!!!!!!! |

IF this man is more than an attention-seeking freak, he should be sent immediately to Death Row, do not pass go, do not collect a plea bargain. He is claiming he had sex with JonBenet, who I believe was six years old at the time of her death.
May JonBenet (finally) rest in peace. What a short and tortured life she had. |

The whole truth will probably never be revealed. To me, the weirdo who confessed lacks a little credibility. Why is he so forthcoming now?? I thought it was chilling that the police told JonBenet'e father that it would best if he didn't hear all of the details about what was done to his daughter according to what her alleged murderer told them. |

Maybe he ain't all that crazy--
He is facing several child pornography charges in Thailand. He confesses to a big stateside crime, waves extradition, the Americans extradite him, he is out of Thailand and can fight extradition from over here and stay out of a Thai jail which probably makes ours look like the Hilton. |

robynmarie, where was jonbenet "parading" around half naked? i saw a little girl in a beauty pageant for little girls. "perverts" will look at children in magazine ads or whereever. the only way to keep "perverts" from looking at children would be to keep children locked in their houses. maybe parents shouldn't bring children to the beach? i mean parents should not allow their children to "parade" around in a swimsuit for every pervert at the beach to look at, right?
jonbenet's parents did nothing wrong by allowing her to be in these beauty pageants. "perverts" will look at children no matter where they (the children) are, or what they (the children) are doing.
i also disagree with the comment robymarie made that jonbenet had a "tortured life". sure her death was a horrible event, but how could anyone say her life was "tortured". when i see footage of jonbenet, she looks like a very happy girl. so how anyone could say or know that jonbenet ramsey had a "tortured" life is beyond me. |

Full on make-up, high heels, bikinis, suggestive dancing? Made to look like a grown woman at the age of six? This is not a normal or healthy lifestyle for a child.
If JonBenet's parents had just taken her to the beach, she would probably still be alive. However, what they did was enter her from the time she was three years old into "beauty" pageant around the country. JonBenet was put on display, not as a happy, carefree child, but as a miniature sex object. Why else would the alleged killer fantasize that he was "in love with her"?
As far as living a tortured life, how do we know she was enjoying living out her mother's sick, twisted dream? Because she had a smile on her face in posed, staged pictures? |

robymarie, obviously many, many parents disagree with your position that dressing a girl up for a beauty pageant is "not normal" or "healthy". whats so unhealthy about a child "dressing up"? girls dress up for parties and special occasions all the time, so whats the big deal about a child wearing makeup for a special event? i DID NOT see any suggestive dancing on the part of jonbenet at all.
this alleged killer was in love with jonbenet because she was in a beauty pageant? this is just not logical thinking. people who are sexually attracted to children, are going to have feeling for children of be in love with children in they see them in beauty pageanta with makeup and highheels, or if they see children in the supermarket or a a public library.
robynmarie, YOU are saying jonbenet was being put on display as a "miniature sex object". obviously this is not the opinion of the thousands and thousands of parents who put their children on there pageants. i really don't understand how people think jonbenet was living out her mothers "sick ,twisted dream". what was jonbenet' mothers "sick, twisted dream". having your daughter in a beauty contest for children is "sick and twisted"? i see nothing sick or twisted about it. neither do the parents of children who take part in there contests, or the people who organize them. i saw a happy child in a beauty contest. robymarie, how do you know jonbenet was unhappy or somehow living a tortured life? you don't. so we are both speculating. but i really don't think the thousands and thousands of parents who have their children in these pageants are "torturing" their children by allowing them to be in these pageants. im sure th children LOVE being in them. kids like to dress up and wear make up. i don't see what the big deal is. i just don't see these children as being placed out there as some kind of sex object.
again, people who have sexual attraction for children will "fall" in love with them, or be sexually attracted to children, no matter what situation they see the children in. every year there are hundreds and hundreds of these child beauty pageants. is there any harm or damage that comes from having children in these pageants? of course not. the children in these pageants are happy and carefree. where is the sick and twisted aspect of it? i don't see one. children wear bikini's at the beach all the time, you think people who are sexually attracted to children are not watching these children in bikini's at the beach or at kids pools? of course they are watching these children. so the point is children can dress up for special occasions or events, thats not the reason people "fall" in love or are sexually attracted to children. these people will have sexual or emotional feeling for children no matter how the child is dressed or what the child is doing. |

The case is looking very shaky and very weak. Some things just don't seem to add up. The DNA in the little girls underpants should match this guys since it did not match anyone else who was initially suspected. There is no doubt that this is a sick degenerate and should be dealt with in the harshest manner possible. But the more I read and hear about this guy and the circumstances, the more it looks like a Red Herring. At first, I was very glad to hear that they caught the killer of that little girl. But as the facts are unravel, it doesn't look good. Time will tell.
