should black people contribute and make posts on forums that deal with white people and the issues that effect white people? i ask this because it seems that there are white posters that constantly post and make comments on a forum that is devoted to black people and the issues that effect them. is it logical or make sense for a white person to have anything to say regarding issues that effect black people? how can a white person relate or have any idea of how it is to be black. how can a white person have anything to say about the issues that effect black people? i wouldn't go to a forum devoted to the issues that effect white people because i really have no place there. is it ridiculous for a black person to post comments on a forum devoted to white people? or is it equally ridiculous for some white person to be on a forum that is devoted to issues that effect black people? does a white person really have a place on a forum for black people? |

Oh Boy! Watch Serenasailor go nuts on this Question! I personally think its a great idea, to learn about all cultures. That includes Music, foods, dress, lifestyles, etc. Why so much hatred on this site, especially from one particular person who shall remain nameless. How boring just to sit and talk about your own race and whoa is me all day. Explore other cultures, boldly go where no black man has gone before! (oops, the STAR TREK came out of me on that one.) From the comments posted on this website I dont find anything uplifting, its seems to be designed for people who want to vent their hatred of White people. And that is very sad to know that people can spend all their energy on something so unpleasant. I do know that soon all of this will be done away with, and our heavenly father Jehovah God, who is not partial will bring and end to all this prejudice and hate for oneanother. Serenasailor knows exactly what Im talking about,we both grew up as Jehovah's Witnesses and this type of forum goes strictly against everything we were taught from the bible. Did'nt mean to get preachy, and this will probably be my last post on this site, but I am just so fascinated at how everybody on this site has so much hatred for white people. When they offer you a job, y do you take it with a smile since you hate them sooooo much, when they serve you at a restaurant, y do you leave a tip or say thank you? I just dont get it? Why notlook into something worthwhile like THE BIBLE! The word of Jehovah God, you'll see that what is being voiced on this site is filled with people who have no desire to love and get along with people of all races and nationalities. So YES! Black people should contribute and makepost on forums that deal with white people, and Asians, hispanic, Jews and all races of people! Broaden you horizons, we have a variety taste as humman beings, we dont eat the same thing every day, and I dont think we should explore the same culture everyday, some of us should probably be out looking for a job, or cleaning the garage, rather than wasting time on nonsense that is gonna continue until God's Kingdom corrects it. |

What the hell do you mean by "explore other cultures"? I hope that doesn't exclude Africa. Black people should explore all the cultures of Africa. There is so much history in Africa to keep one busy for a life time. Instead of "exploring" non-African culture, Black people should explore Africa. Afterall the very definition of Black is one from Africa. Or have we as Black people mysteriously forgotten that? |

huh?? I said all cultures! That would include Africa. DUH!!! I think some of you people on this site have a one track mind. I think Thumper has thumped some of you just a lil too hard, almost to the point of being brain dead. |

What the hell do you mean by "explore other cultures"? I hope that doesn't exclude Africa. "Black people should explore all the cultures of Africa. There is so much history in Africa to keep one busy for a life time."</i> And there is an equal if not a more relevant amount of information and history in black American history to keep one busy for a life time. Why don't you try that first? I think you will benefit more since the history is more directly related to you, your family and all the black people in your life.

”should black people contribute and make posts on forums that deal with white people and the issues that effect white people?” I hope you are kidding. Right? If not, either you have consumed a massive amount of drugs before posting or either you are dumber than a box of rocks! Which is it? Black people in America are free to discuss or comment on any and every subject they desire to! And exactly what “white issues” are you referring to that black people should not be allowed to comment about? ”i ask this because it seems that there are white posters that constantly post and make comments on a forum that is devoted to black people and the issues that effect them. is it logical or make sense for a white person to have anything to say regarding issues that effect black people?” If they want to. Why do you care? If you disagree with them, state your counter argument and move on! You are free to agree or disagree with their commentary or opinions. That is the beauty of living in a free society that allows people to give their opinions and state their beliefs. I comment on a number of boards that deal with issues that do not directly involve black people. They very in subject and content. There are no racial restrictions or requirements in the cyber world. Why should there be? ”how can a white person relate or have any idea of how it is to be black. how can a white person have anything to say about the issues that effect black people?” Yep, from that statement, it’s either drugs or dumbness that prompted your questions. Tell Nat Hentoff, Taylor Branch, Raymond D'Angelo, Diane McWhorter, Kevin Boyle, Mark Newman, George M. Fredrickson, Joseph R. Barndt, Debra Van Ausdale or Charles Siberman that the books they wrote dealing with racism, the history of segregation, lynching, the federal and state legal battles to end segregation, racism in the justice system, racial violence against blacks, history of the civil rights movement, etc, etc ,etc…, that they had no right to write those books about racism and black people since they are not black. Tell them they can’t write fascinating, very enlightening, well researched and documented books about black people. I mean comon’, how could they possibly write well written and detailed scholarly books about black people if they are not black! BLACKS AREN’T WRITING THE OVERWHELMING MAJORITY OF THOSE BOOKS! And for the record, many issues that affect black people do affect white people! Don't kid yourself. ”i wouldn't go to a forum devoted to the issues that effect white people because i really have no place there. is it ridiculous for a black person to post comments on a forum devoted to white people?” Good. Then don’t. But again, what forum are you referring to? What issues are being discussed that black people have no right to comment about? Having blond hair and blues eyes? NASCAR? Life in Iceland? Sky diving? What? Details please….. ”..or is it equally ridiculous for some white person to be on a forum that is devoted to issues that effect black people? does a white person really have a place on a forum for black people?” What exactly are you afraid of? And again, what forum are you referring to? And what exactly are they saying that bothers you? Do you object to them being “white” or do you object to their “comments”? There is a difference.

i never said that there are issues that blacks have no right to discuss. maybe you ability to read and understand is flawed. i never said white people shouln't right books about black people. i never said that we don't live in a free society where people can comment on what they want. of course people can comment on what they want. maybe it is you who are dumb as rocks because you lack the ability to comprehend a rhetorical question. there was never a comment in my post that said white people could not write books about black people. wow, there are no racial restrictions or requierments in cyber-space? i didn't know that, i thought people had to pass a racial test before allowing to post or make comments on line. you have enlightened me. i nener said anything anyone says "bothers" me. nor did i infer that i was "afraid" of anything. maybe some people need to get a clear understanding of what a rhetorical question is before getting on a soap box and trying to tell people things they already know and understand. dumb as rocks. yes, that is a very accurate description of some people. dios mio, algunos de las morenos son amangara y tonto!!!! |

Excuse me? Don’t’ try to play a semantics game here. You were asking questions concerning whites posting at black forums. You stated: should black people contribute and make posts on forums that deal with white people and the issues that effect white people? And I responded by saying black people have the right to post comments or opinions wherever they want to. Don’t try to twist it around by saying; “…. i never said that there are issues that blacks have no right to discuss.” It’s not about a particular issue but about whether white people should be ale to post at a black forum and vice versa. You then stated; “i wouldn't go to a forum devoted to the issues that effect white people because i really have no place there. If you feel that way, fine. That’s your choice. But other blacks have every right to post on any public forum. You have chosen not to. Fine. I don't have a problem with that since it is an "individual" decsion you made. Do you have any idea what you originally wrote? I suggest you reword and think more carefully before posting if you are going to whine about people questioning what you write. You originally were asking why whites should post at black forums and “is it ridiculous for a black person to post comments on a forum devoted to white people? Those are your words, not mine! You read my response, so stop with the word games and the weak attempt to twist out of what you originally wrote. Stay on point! wow, there are no racial restrictions or requierments in cyber-space? i didn't know that, i thought people had to pass a racial test before allowing to post or make comments on line. you have enlightened me. Good. maybe some people need to get a clear understanding of what a rhetorical question is before getting on a soap box and trying to tell people things they already know and understand. No, you need to learn to properly write questions and then develop the ability to defend your position without trying to defensively twist the original meaning and then back tracking. Debes pensar de lo que escribes primero. Entonces quizás no mirarás tan estupido a mi amigo!
