Unfortunately many blacks are too insecure for self-criticism, to explore who they and others are or investigate the way they may be viewed for a broader understanding of themselves and the universe. This is all a direct result from slavery…a defense mechanism to what has been done to our own self-worth.
I'd say a "Mammy" figure is an example of who whites perceive is a "good nigger" and a Rebel (someone who questions the status quo) is a "bad nigger" to them. |
