Why is there this recurrent tendency to say with such assurance what some man ain't checking for? Can't we see that this invariably involves an implicit put-down of black women, as if sistas in general are so categorically unattractive and undesirable that it's just a "given" that a certain type of man (always some man who fits in the "too-something" category i.e., too "light", too white, too well-educated, too wealthy/affluent/successful, etc) wouldn't be attracted to a sista?
For all we know, Wentworth Miller may well have an affinity for dark-chocolate, gorgeous sistas. (Personally, I've known quite a few brothas his complexion whose preference was dark-skinned sistas.) It just never ceases to amaze me, the assumptions that are bandied around that go unquestioned.

Serenasailor-I just like the male species. Black men are my preference. Generally, I'm not attracted to White men but I can make exceptions for my boo Wentworth Miller. He is the ONLY reason why I suffered 2 1/2 hours through that boring ass movie "The Human Stain". And the only reason why I waste an hour of my life on his show "Prison Break".

Brownbeauty, now you know you and I may have differed on some issues on these boards but when it comes to our admiration for the fine Wentworth Miller, we are clearly of one accord.
The only difference is while you make an "excuse" for your attraction to Wentworth, I can enjoy and revel in his "fioneness" with no guilt or explanation needed. To me, Wentworth is just another brotha.
And yes, I heard the Gabrielle Union rumor also.

Wentworth Miller is a WHITE man.

I'm friends with Gabby Union's publicist and the Gabrielle Union "rumor" is a flat out lie.
Wentworth Miller is seen photographed with WHITE WOMEN on his arm, almost exclusively, and that's his world.
SAVANT lost all her points with me by claiming that he's just another brotha.
Which is humanly IMPOSSIBLE and goes to show how little respect she has for black people period.
There are Mexican men who would know more about what it's like to be a "colored" person than Wentworth Miller will EVER know.
