We constantly discuss the pairings

media shows it to us 24/7...and there is
the pervasive message that "no one wants

Actually, ABM--you were the one who inspired this thread.
After you said how incredibly gorgeous the "ambiguous" Brazilian woman was in another post, and after another guy mentioned how Jessica Alba is the perfect woman, I began to wonder----WHY CAN'T I APPRECIATE THE FANTASTIC BEAUTY OF THESE WOMEN?
WHAT IS IT ABOUT ME?
And I realized that for me there is always a "DEMERIT SYSTEM" built in...for those who cannot re-produce Africa.
Therefore, I assign more beauty to someone like Lauryn Hill, primarily because I know that BLACK people come from her.
In these sensationally hot soap opera clips of the black woman with white men---I experienced the same 75% enthusiasm watching it a few weeks ago, as I might have written for this show. And I wondered WHY DO I NOT COMPLETELY SUCCUMB TO THIS???? Why does it tantilize me, but ultimately, leave me cold? (It was the same thing I experienced while having sex with Eneddio).
And I realized that it's my built-in DEMERIT SYSTEM. And that few other blacks in the world I live in have such a system.
No matter how "shiny, flickering, sparkling" the beauty of these people is---if it can't reproduce Africa, then it's meaningless to me.
Does that make sense to you??

Kola,
Have you watched USA's "The 4400". It's about these 4,400 people who were over several periods of time taken by future earthlings, enhanced with assorted supernatural powers and then return to the present day.
At the center of the show is a lovely young Black woman named Isabelle who's the most POWERFUL of all these enhanced people. She's a deviously wicked 'something' who's doing whatever the hell she wants with her powers - including KILLING mofos.
You should seek it, if you have not. It's about as interesting a role I've seen for a Black women on TV/Cable in a WHILE.
Isabelle sorta reminds me of a character that you might have created.
I guess the only reason I mention that here is because they've had her fake-fuhking some White dude on that show like on "One Life To Live".

I only posted her pic to provide some point of reference for this ongoing debate about whether we're moving towards some browner, racially ambiguous beauty standard.

Watching her frolic with the white guy ultimately left me cold.
You came back saying I would "like" watching this 4,400 girl get it on in similar scenes.
I also asked you did you understand this built-in DEMERIT system, as I don't think it's racist at all for any type of people to prefer mating with those who can re-produce them.
I take it from the bible: "And God made man in his own image."
I believe that it's normal, not racist, for people to feel this way----though we're capable of having SEX with anyone (as I did with Eneddio).

Okay. I understand. But I don't really harbor any built-in DEMERIT system. At least not in any universal sense.
Sure I for social, political, historical, emotional, spiritual and SEXUAL reasons prefer Black women. But I don't wholly assign any negative ratings to any/all interracial couplings.
I think there is to SOME degree room left for a man and woman to love, honor and comfort each other in a way that transcend race/color.
For me the issue is more that of how grossly UNBALANCE everything is along race/color. |

ABM, I didn't say that I harbor "negative" ratings to interracial couplings or to beauty of another kind.
I said---that I immediately recognize OTHER beauty as not being my own or able to reproduce my own.
I STILL, however, see the beauty.

I totally agree.
Otherwise, I wouldn't have been able to be IN the interracial relationships that I took part in and ENJOYED on many levels.
However, at the end of the day, there was always that built-in DEMERIT system saying: this is nice, but it's not everything it could be.

I think you might be SHOCKED at what "teen black boys" see in comparison to what you grew up seeing.
It's a new breed. They don't like a woman with "ASS" for instance.
TO THEM, Jessica Alba has "ass" and "color" (HAHA!!)---but they see a truly "big booty" under a small waist as illicit, LESS MORAL, primative, embarrassing. Add brown skin and it's DIRTY.
When I was a teen---black boys wanted girls with COKE-bottle shapes, and if you were "skinny" as I was---you had to at least have some booty.
Just like African men, Black American men didn't care all that much about TITS (white men are titty-crazy). Black men cared more about the BOOTY, waistline, face and pretty feet.
If you had nice tits, that was icing.

I didn't get my "coke-bottle" shape until I was pregnant and almost 30. ***Frown***
Then after the 2nd baby, I lost the waistline!!!
NOW---thanks to (COUGH), science---I've got some REMNANT of my coke-bottle shape back at close to 40.
That waistline means EVERYTHING. I'm telling you. It's the difference between POW-POW and sloppy.

ABM, I forgot to tell you...
I did really great on the Adam Corolla Show and he's invited me to come back on this week.
I got like 80 email after doing that show---but they're KIDS (white boys). They just want to talk dirty shit and get "titty-shots" for their walls....but in secret....they LOVE and really RESPECT that I said I would only date a white man if I couldn't get a black one.
