For the first 20 years that BET was on---it was owned and operated by the BLACK MAN who started it--Bob Johnson.
The Programmers, Presidents and people running it right now are colorstruck, sorry ass BLACK PEOPLE, including a former movie Producer, Reginald Hudlin.
It's not WHITE PEOPLE's fault what airs on BET.
The black community would be up in arms if they weren't pleased with all the denigrating bullshit that runs on that station 24 hours a day.
I'd rather take MY SONS to a David Duke meeting. At least they already know by his white skin where he stands.

BET was just as colorist when it was owned by a black man. It’s just that back then, most of the women were light-skinned instead of Latina/mixed. And the male hosts had to have a certain look as well (i.e., Ed Gordon). |

I know I say it a lot, but I mean it: THANK YOU! COULDN'T HAVE SAID IT BETTER MYSELF! It amazes me how black people mindlessly watch and allow this modern day coon show to serve as a source of emulation and imagery for their children. The most disgusting ignorant ass Negroes are furthering and promoting every pathetic racist stereotype of black people imaginable. White people have nothing to do with this. The tired and weak victimization "I can't help myself look what da white man be doing to me" excuse is moot and not applicable.
Unlike institutional racism, forced segregation and senseless white racist violence, black people have total control over this situation. Those rap videos and shows are black produced and sustained versions of "Birth Of A Nation" in real black face. If you allow your children (and yourself) to watch BET, MTV and VH1, then you are part of this ongoing culture of coonology! If black people as a group, were seriously offended and appalled by the brain dead buffoonery and celebration of black trash knucklehead antics, they would boycott and block this lunacy from their television sets. But that's not going to happen. As group, they are paralyzed with doltish acceptance and indifference at best. Kola articulated it exactly as it is!!!
